Ireland Dowd Poem
Heartbreak brings more strength
By: Ireland Dowd
Heartbreak is like a lit candle that is blown out.
Everything you know is only doubted.
A sad flashback of the memories you had shouted.
Right at the moment, those tears begin to sprout.
Time is a devil bringing bad instead of good, causing an emotional drought.
Breaking all you had and along with it all that you were.
Rocketing down is your hereabouts.
Empty is your heart of gold, empty but, devout.
A round of emotions in a roundabout.
Killing those who are as strong as they walkabout.
Bringing a sudden round of qualms
Ringing bells of several sounds
I hear cheers go out of bounds.
Never again hearing those hopeful sounds.
Giving hope to those around.
Sounds the leaving clouds.
Medicine racing through my veins like it's playing a game.
Oh glorious sun, Oh where did you go?
Rare are people who actually know...
Everything you are not ready to show.
Strength is an aftereffect of all of the hardships you undergo.
Try, try to let it all go.
Rise up when someone hurts you.
Even when you’re feeling blue.
Never give up on the sun that comes and goes.
Gaieties form when you choose to grow.
The technique is what’ll make the positivities show.
Heartbreak brings more strength.

Ireland Dowd Poem
Things Hurt
By: Ireland Dowd
Talk about all the failures of others all you want.
Hope it doesn’t come back to bite you.
I sincerely don’t care about all of the ludicrous you put on yourself.
Not only do I laugh at it, I choose to grow from the fact that you have hurt me.
Get over it! Your damaged notoriety is killing you to the point where you cause others pain.
Stop and grow up and actually be okay.
Hurting others hurts you more than it hurt them.
Undergoing pain is not an easy thing especially when it keeps building up.
Represent those who need hope, courage, and a friend instead of tearing their wall down and killing them emotionally.
Try to undergo the pain they are going through with them.

Ireland Dowd Poem
When I wake up I cry deep down and ask myself;
How do I go on? What is it worth? How do I stay strong?
Even in the light I still want to cry
Never again for months would I feel okay
You never know when you will feel ok again
Only knowing that you may not rise up from that day
Up in the room; the room of loneliness you feel all alone
Falling into the dumps
Empty inside looking for a reason to go on
Everyone looks past you
Like they don’t care even though they know the pain
Alone in the dark you sit there and cry internally.
Living sad and drowsy
Open notes of encouragement with no faith
Never knowing when you will be happy again
Everyday is a heartbreaking struggle……

Ireland Dowd Poem
Faith dwindles.
Anger stokes in the fire.
Ignorance sits in the chair.
Love hides in the corner,
Usually, because it dislikes shame.
Regret lays sprawled out on the floor.
Emptiness sleeps by regret.
Intentions get out of wack.
Selfishness taking control.
Admitting only negativity.
Myth: Failure; Not getting back up after falling.
Yeah, it's hard, but you gotta,
Try harder.
Hearing positivity in the far off distance calling your name.

Ireland Dowd Poem
Some Dreams fade,
Some dreams stay.
Haters say what they want to say.
Dreamers let their dreams burn on,
Unable to see them fade.
Some dreams are big,
Some dreams are small.
While hated dreams keep standing tall.
Like an indestructible wall,
One that shall never fall.
That one successful dream is the best one of all.
