Cherrlyn Derode Poem
Every raindrop shouts, drumming on the roof
Its violent rhythm embraces the heavy air
Strumming monotonously on a pale glass window,
I'm lying in bed, his smile still plays on my head
Indulging myself in sentiment, I reminisce how he stared...
so sweet as freshly baked gooey butter cake.
'Twas yesterday when I glimpsed his face through the door.
My heart beat too fast, what a dumb coward I was.
I've just felt lifeless for he stole my soul
Please unchain my heart, completely trapped.
Despite the noise of rain, it's still a melody with no tone.
I should say "it's enough" in a flood of tears,
unrescued and drowned to the sound of silence.

warmed by sunshine rays

Cherrlyn Derode Poem
"It's normal"
whispering to myself,
the best encouragement.
Innocence takes me to imagination
A gleam in my eye, full of hope
Constantly offering a sweet taste of hello
Nobody knows the story behind this flavor.
Heartful prayers mold my whole spirit
Suddenly broken by repeated violence
A horrible dish was served on a wicked night
Complete silence is the only weapon
No one can understand the gloom.
Years have changed my heart and soul
Rain pours down covering the calmness,
Can't breathe, drowning in grief
Until a new weapon becomes an escape
Nobody knows the story behind this emptiness.
Terrible scene enlightens the cruel hearts
Silence of midnight's entirely different
Tears fall down their sorrowful faces
No one can understand my utter darkness.
"I'm sorry"
is all I can say,
a symbol of love and respect.
