Time Machine

This time machine is not just for one. The time stream can hold anyone. But me and you
might make it through safe and unharmed.

Don't close the door when you're running for the place you've already belonged. I'm not
the one whom you'd shut upon the door that leads up to day one.

Don't look back down to the here and now because the streaming has already begun.
Will you take my hand and stay till the end with me just this once?

We're starting again. We're building a plan that can save us from the start. We can
prevent our love from within from pulling completely apart.

What I Want To Be

I hear your voice screaming in the meadow,
words spoken abusively in the shadows.
I know it's not in my head. It grows.

I hear footsteps in the deep dark forest,
running like the sound of fearful horses.
But I know it's not in my head. It echoes

Sometimes I feel like I'm tightly confined and losing my mind.
My loss of ability to save who I want to be is taking over me from behind.

And though who I want to be is not what I always see,
it can't hurt to try.

On My Shoulders

I've got the whole world on my shoulders.
Every time I stumble the earth tumbles until I reach out and catch her.

Because when the world falls it's because I did first.
I effect it when it stalls, I keep holding it till I burst.

Should I hold this burden on my back?
Am I crazy enough to give it slack?
Is it better to wish for everything to float exactly where it's at?

If I hang it from a string, would you cut it down?
Should I lodge it upon a piece of solid ground?
Or should I float the world to watch you sink it down?

I will stop you from cutting that line, watching it sink, holding behind you every
horrible thing.
Because the world's on my shoulders. It will never fall again.

Forgiven

I've been gone so long this time,
so long I realize that no one's the same.

They've changed so fast that I,
have no view to remind me of their names.

All that was said and done,
leaving scars on everyone and not a weapon in hand,

I plead for all the good times when everything was just fine.
Now it's hard to understand.

Please just help me.
Please bring back the memories.

My heart is getting so numb for everyone.
I hate to let go.

Please just let me be forgiven.

For You

Look all around and see that the clouds are casting their shadows for you.
I swear up and down that the skies and the waters gave your eyes that sad blue.

Because the wonderful earth you view, has always and still will do,
all it's beautiful works for you.

Look up today, yes look up and say that the world does turn for you.
I say that the rain, the wind, and the plains perform their art for you too.

Because the precious earth you view, has always and still will do,
all it's marvelous works for you.

I Can'T

I'm built up again so that you can tear me down.
I've got my heart to bring so that you can rip it out.

State your peace. I can't take it.
Let me bleed because you know that I can't fake it.

I'm strong again so what can you talk about?
I'm out of breath so that I can't scream and shout.

So state your peace. I can't take it.
Let me bleed because inside your heart you know that i can't fake it.
