Divine Beauty

I stand like an inverted portrait on your wall
Bollixed Like a lost wallet in a mall
I remained Glued to you all day and night
Like a scabbard to the waist of a knight

Your inexplicable uniqueness got me riveted
And leaves me feeling complete like a script that has been vetted
The sun is full of envy of your brightness
Even Your shadow divulges your uprightness

Your smiles makes me feel like the clock has stopped ticking
And energetic like a baby in the womb that's kicking
You are the moon, I am the night
In my darkness hour, you are my light

Say No To Rape

You attend the same school
She was a very shy type
And you were the outspoken type
You asked her to be your friend
And she agreed

You helped each other with assignments
And we're always together
She had no problem being close to you
Because she took you as a very gud friend
And you were ok with her as your friend

You were always concerned about her
Trying to help her whenever you could
And she was really grateful for your care
She was able to tell you all her secrets
And the fact that she is still a virgin

She became free with you
Had several lunch times with you
You guys even exchanged visits
She comes to your place
While you also goes to her's

She introduced you to her friends
As a very good friend of hers
You also did the same introduction
Both to your friends and your parents
The friendship was envied by many

You invited her over to your place one day
So that she could help you out with an assignment
She gladly agreed, just like other days
But you had an hidden agenda
But the innocent girl never knew

She lost track of the time
Which was all all part of your plan
Before she finished with the assignment
It was extremely late in the evening
She wanted to return home that night

But you convinced her to sleep over
That it wasn't safe out there
She agreed to sleep on the couch
While you will sleep on your bed
But you convinced her otherwise

She felt it was just a courtesy from you
So she took the bed
While you took the couch
At about midnight
She felt strange movement on her body

When she opened her eyes
You were trying to off her dress
She was shocked and confused
As she never expected it from you
But you had it all planned out

At the end, you finally got between her legs
She bleed all through the night
Cursed you till Dawn
But you never gave a damn
You had succeeded in raping her

An enviable friendship
Just went down the drain
Because of a abominable urge
"Say no to rape"
It's an insane act.

A Better World

When I was 16 years old, I walked into the English class on the first day of school of a new year. I’d been waiting through the long hours of Economics, of Chemistry, of Physics  to get to English class, the subject I loved most.

My teacher stood in front of us and explained that we’ll be studying the theme "Coming of Age" – the transition from childhood to adulthood. We were going to read many different novels that tell this story in diverse ways, and as we read, we’ll discover the universal themes across diverse accounts of this rite of passage.”

Then he told us about the books we were going to read – Lord of the Flies, Black Boy, A Separate Peace… I noticed something odd: none were written by women and none were about a girl coming of age. I knew it wasn’t right for a classroom of girls and boys to only read stories about boys.

But what was most remarkable about that day was this: I felt a strange surge of energy. It wasn’t anger – it was more like momentum, vitality, passion. It came with a feeling of “I’m going to do something about this.”

At the time, I was a little lost – in teenage rebellion, in hating my body, in being bored with high school. Suddenly, I wasn’t bored, or lost or hating. I was excited about something. I was working toward something.

Years later I turned out to be a biology teacher even without attending any teaching school or training.
And used the opportunity to enlighten lots of female students on maturity (the transition from childhood to adolescense and to adulthood) and several female related issues that wasn't in any textbook nor in the curriculum.

Today I might not be a very rich man but I am a fulfilled man. I am fulfilled because I know deep down that I have made an impact in the lives of several females out there.

So whatever is that drive, that burning passion inside of you, that push to make a positive difference, to contribute to humanity, I just want to tell you "don't give up on it. It's only a matter of time"

Together if we all put in our little effort, we can make a huge difference.
So whatever field u find yourself, be it entertainment, music, acting, poem writing, YouTuber, blogger, teacher, student or parents, let's all join hands to make the world a better place. All it takes is for you to use your field to make positive impacts.

My Mind, My Pen

My lines might sound like a threnody
My rhymes might be un-prosody
My vocabs may not be bloody
My verses might be termed a "parody"

But as long as the situation is critical
My messages will always be clinical
Void of any form of sounding apical
Because my inspiration is always lyrical

I express my thoughts through my words
And connect the inner circles like chords
With inspiration from the Lord of Lord's
My pen and my thoughts are of one accord

Your Today

Water is wet
Light is bright
Food is tasty
Fire is hot
Ice is cold

Almost everything has a description
Except for your indefinite "Today"
Which is just a product of your input
And an accumulation of your yesterday

A little sleep and a little slumber
And the product will be of a lubber
A little grumbling and dragging of the feet
And poverty will be all over you like a fleet

Haste is wisdom
Procrastination is a Virus
Make hay while it's still day
Else regrets will be your today

The Despicable Act

One faithful afternoon,
He asked you out
Said he wanted to you to be his girlfriend
You didn't give him a definite answer
You told him you would think about it

Days passed, weeks rolled by
He was waiting for your answer
He called you to check on you
You said you were not doing fine
Because you had some issues

He promised to assist you, and he did
Then you decided to use him as your ATM
With every passing day
You kept making demands
And he kept meeting your demands

He thought it was your way of saying "Yes"
To his proposal for you to be his girlfriend
So he kept treating you special
And you kept extorting him
Without any form of hesitation

He invited you over to his place
And you kept giving him excuse
Until one faithful evening
You needed some money urgently
And he was very busy at home

You decided to go over to his house
He was excited about your visit
He tried to give you a kiss
But you pushed him away
He became confused with your action

So he asked if you were not his girlfriend
You told him plainly to his face
That you are not and cannot be
He realized he was just a magga
and that his thoughts was just a mirage

He became furious
And out of anger, he forced himself on you
You went home crying and cursing
He sat on the floor in his room
Weeping, realizing that he never had you

Please don't misunderstand me
This isn't me supporting or justifying
The abominable acts of raping
This is me saying to everyone
"Let's put our house in order"

"Say no to rape"

Gone But Alive

We know that life is a journey.
And Death is also a continuation of the journey.
As it marks the end of the body's journey.
And the new beginning of the souls journey

A branch has fallen from the tree
But he only drifted to become free
In a manner coherently sloppy like a scree
To obtain divine authority like a decree

Perhaps his time seemed too brief
But let's not lengthen it with deep grief
True it came unannounced like a thief
But his memory should be decorated like a chief.

It's not how long a man lived
But how impactful was the life lived
Although it's expected of us to be grieved
But it's actually time to get his memory archived.

It's true his parting left a void
Because of an incident we couldn't avoid.
But he is not trapped in a void
Rather he is moved on like a car that has been refuelled.

The Lost Way

We live in a beautiful world
Where the earth is Rich and pure
And can provide for everyone
Where the way of life
Can be free and beautiful

We want to live by each other's happiness
And not by each other's misery
We do not want to hate
And despise one another

But we have lost the way
Greed has poisoned men's souls
Has barricaded the world with hate
Has goose-stepped us into bloodshed

Our knowledge has made us cynical
Our cleverness has made us hard
We now tend to think too much
And as a result, feel too little

But now more than knowledge
We need humanity
More than cleverness
We need kindness and gentleness

Without these qualities
Life will be full of violence
And with this path, all will be lost
Let's all try to re-find the way.

The Sagacious Ancient One

Oh ye tortoise
The longest living land animals in the world
You who bear the weight of the world on your back and yet walks with a palatial gait
From your hovel, you watched the hills and valleys mate
The oceans and seas retreat
Large four legged beast extinct
And smaller two legged emanate
Oh ye tortoise
You who walk slowly but never afraid of a race
You who feel safe and protected in its own house
You who walk on your toes like an elephant
Discerning with your eyes almost like it's squinting
Oh ye tortoise
One of the world most amazing diggers
With front legs armoured with sturby scales
Adorned with your clandestine ears
Carvernous bladder like a cauldron
And brawny beak for shredding and grinding foods
For decades, you epitomized wisdom and cunningness
Unchanged since prehistoric times
Misconstrued for turtles
Still men can't seem to decipher your morphology.

Fear

I feared being alone until I learned to love myself.
I feared failure until I realized that I only fail when I don't try.
I feared success until I realized that I had to try in order to be happy with myself.
I feared people's opinions until I learned that people would have opinions about me anyway.
I feared rejection until I learned to have faith in myself.
I feared pain until I learned that it's necessary for growth.
I feared the truth until I saw the ugliness in lies.
I feared life until I experienced its beauty.
I feared death until I realized that it's not an end, but a beginning.
I feared hate until I saw that it was nothing more than ignorance
I feared my destiny, until I realized that I had the power to change my life.
Now I practically have no fear....
