The Lost Way

We live in a beautiful world Where the earth is Rich and pure And can provide for everyone Where the way of life Can be free and beautiful We want to live by each other's happiness And not by each other's misery We do not want to hate And despise one another But we have lost the way Greed has poisoned men's souls Has barricaded the world with hate Has goose-stepped us into bloodshed Our knowledge has made us cynical Our cleverness has made us hard We now tend to think too much And as a result, feel too little But now more than knowledge We need humanity More than cleverness We need kindness and gentleness Without these qualities Life will be full of violence And with this path, all will be lost Let's all try to re-find the way. #PoeticLord# (c) January 2019
