Rochelle Jones Poem
Where are the Black children of today?
being murdered and raped
what an awful price to pay.
Are you in school trying to be educated?
or a gang banger making other peoples
life complicated.
Do you listen to what your parents say?
or letting all the boys have their way.
Do you cooperate with the men in blue?
or let them make a fool out of you.
Do you care about the problems of today?
or killing your kind
and jacking the house with
the local D.J.
Put on your thinking caps, get on the ball
don't let life pass you in the mall.

Rochelle Jones Poem
You bring me up
You bring me down
and then you give me the run around
You know I'am interested in you
But still you don't want to be true
You pull me here
You pull me there
And all I want to be is fair
Is this atraction right or wrong?
Don't make me wait for too long
Cause you are the apple of my eye
Come on let's give love a try

Rochelle Jones Poem
Rain makes you lonely
Rain makes you sad
Rain makes you wish things you never had
It brings about changes of thoughts in your mind
to leave all the bad ones behind
Rain makes you clean places you hardly ever clean
before, even behind the refrigerator in the
corner on the floor
Rain hypnotizes you and makes you sleep
even if you are not that beat
it's the drop that puts you in a trance
when it's only the moment you want to enhance
Rainy days are good sometimes
for newlyweds, lovers old and new
they seem to soothe fusses and fights
to bring about peace all through the night
and make love shine through to end all
sadness, red or blue

Rochelle Jones Poem
Good times roll
like the dice
roll sevens
Lights, sound, souls
moving free
food court near
Slot money rings
elves mouth sing
walk out broke

Rochelle Jones Poem
When I look at you
I see me
What is this power you have over me
wishing and praying
you were mine
You look at me , and turn away
Without ever having a word to say
I think I love you, I don't know yet
but do you love me, want to make a bet
How can you see me, What can I do
I really want to be with you
Time has passed and still no dice
are we ever going to feel some rice
You get me so confused, till I can't think
I cry so much, till my eyes are pink
I dreamed of us living the american dream
one child maybe two
with smiles on our faces no need to change places
I heard you got married the other day so I guess there is
nothing left to say

Rochelle Jones Poem
Half on, half off, there Santa lay
from partying all night on Christmas Eve
Mrs. Claus spiked the eggnog with his favorite drink, bourbon
Then he danced on the decorated tables, ate too many Christmas cookies
played too many reindeer games and went too low on Limbo
Finally, he fell out on the floor.
All the tipsy green elves helped Santa into bed
within a hour, the alarm rings and his big hands, hit the snooze button
Mrs. Clause, with blood shot eyes, helps smashed Santa, get out of bed
and pushes him in the sleigh, and told Rudolph to lead the way.
Santa hits the snooze button 12/16/18

Rochelle Jones Poem
So your daddy is white
your mother is black
What about you?
Oh, you are just a little light.
Do you want to live like white?
or live like black?
Hey man, I dont't want to fight
Do you believe in civil rights?
or the white hooded men who raid the night
