How Deep Is Your Love - Make Sure You

Make sure you...
Live your life to the full
To love each day and the night time to
Like you would maybe love a jewel

Our life on this earth does not last
It burns up so very fast
From that very first breath we took
Until we take our very last

Family for me must always come first
Both yours and mine and planet earths
Nature, nurture, safeguard the future
As life they say is short and sweet

So make sure that you complete
Living your life to the very end
And make sure to include your friends
As well as those you have never met

So where do we all go from here
Well we will find out I fear
The reason that we were put here

Some say religion I say no
As for me I hope I know
That we are not all alone
As Genesis tells us so

That God created us all in his image?
But who is God and whats his mischief
As the planet is dying
So are we alone the culprits?

If we are then I believe
That you and me and humanity
With mother nature and the human spirit
May just find a way to fix it

How deep is your Love?

Fact Or Fiction - More Fake News

Fact and Fiction are two words that cause a lot of friction
Therefore, sometimes it’s all about the diction

Like a poem they both have meaning
To the audience you are seeking

A fact though is just that, in that it is proved
Fiction though just tends to lend us clues

The best way therefore for us to act
Is to stick with the facts

Fact is truth and reality
Fiction just fantasy

The Girl

The Girl...

The girl you met
And fell in love with
Is not the one
You will end up with
If at all!

As once her mask
Has fallen away
Her true persona
Will hold sway
And then you realise

You were fooled!

For better or worse
Richer or poorer
The girl for you
Might just live
Around the corner

And is a friend

Do You

Do you take this strife
No not without a wife

Do you take this wife
No not if she gives me strife

Do you take this life
Only with my own wife

To give to me all the strife
To maybe live a better life

But first of all I need a wife

Poetry Soup - Such a Great Recipe From All of You

It’s very cold outside but not in here
Where I am relaxing and sipping beer
Reading all the latest poems
That everyone else has been composing

They really warm up my toes
As well as my big red nose

Just don’t stop what you are doing
As this new recipe from you and who
Means that I might just add a parsnip or two

For my own Best Winter Soup
But don’t let that ever stop you
To refine your own recipe too

Because there is so much talent and friendship here

I wish you all a Happy New Year

Is This a Recipe For Happy Soup

I am so unsure what to do
Because I don't really know you
But my heart says find a way
As my words are not child's play

There must therefore be time for us to both discover
If we are maybe right for each other
And if I keep adding to the soup
I might just then win you over

But to make sure we always have fun
I will add my humour and then some
And as my heart you have already won
My recipe must be one

That cooks up such a lifelong treat
That we just don't meet and greet
But fall in the soup recipe
To always be as happy
As we can ever be

I will always add some spice
And continue cooking all that's nice
And together we can live life
Forever together to always be
Not just for our love of Poetry

As nothing I will ever do
I really do promise you
Will burn the flavour of our soup
Because I am in love with you

Lonely - But Free

Lonely is not a nice place to be
It’s not for you and not for me
Lonely though others cannot see
Other than it can sometimes be
Just living without your family

A place where we all live alone
Where no one else hears our tone
So, they will never ever wonder why
Or may even think you or I don’t try
Not to be so lonely

So, in my heart
I will never ever make you cry
And try to be the best that I can be
So that you are never ever lonely
but always totally free

And in yourself I do sincerely hope
That you are always then happy

Time To Laugh - No Religion Needed - As New Year Supersedes It

It’s time now to have some fun

So less from you of the moribund

It’s time to kick our weights off, including our smelly socks

Time for wishing everyone good cheer, as Christmas is nearly here

It doesn’t matter what we think, or if mine or your feet really stink

Religion just get out of here, as I am looking to New Year

We can then maybe work it out, without having to shout

I told you that until next year, that I won’t even hear

Anything you have to say, but you will say it anyway

At least though then we have another chance to try

The next New Year to make things right

Love You

Time to greet or maybe meet

There is a time I could tell
Time for me to go to and smell
But I was budging the gates of hell
So how was I supposed to tell
Unless the bell rings out as well

As I can’t just keep kicking time
Nor never ever have a rhyme
And if I could then I would
Just stand here like I should

As time means place
But place is time
But we both found our own Stime
To stop and start and make it better
So that we both know each other

Like we sent a love letter

Big Head - Or Is It Friend

I will never compete with you
Why would I that’s the clue

I am neither in competition
With anyone else to try to beat them

I just say it like it is
If you don’t like it then don’t read it

Just give me some respect
And never give me your advice
Just so your always right

Because my friend I can tell you
It’s you that hasn’t got a clue

So, in the end it’s you that lose
As no more me and no more you

Big Head You - Without a Clue
I think that I always knew
