Momas Cave

Moma said come out of there
She said you better watch out just beware
Of that person who wants to steal your heart
Run it through the mill
Rip it apart
She had been there and done that
Had worn many hats
Worn many shoes and lots of dresses
Got lots of men but the wrong caresses
Touched by and never fulfilled
Tainted thoughts and unnatural will
Broken by the cave she was trapped in
Her mind so sore from all the sin
She was tired of carrying images of them around
So she walked on in the best place in town
The house of peace
For her release
The spirit told her she had to leave
All that mess in her inside of her cave
At the pulpit or it would put her in an early grave
She dropped all her thoughts and tribulations
At the steps of purification
She turned around and walked away
Spirit don't leave cave get outta my way
A foolish mind can wither your heart
But a sound mind will always listen to the tribal charts
They guide and protect all that's been given
So we can make the best decisions
Moma's alright

love runs deep and in your darkest hour
you should never feel alone

I love you

Stormy

To my soul sistah my morning star
My stormy when there is bad weather
I can't explain what you do to my soul inexplainable but its love
Its raining in my mind
For your grace and wisdom has touched me forever
I'm into you and its true
I feel blessed with and knowing you
I wish I could wrap my arms around your pain
And hose it down with this true love rain
I'm here no matter what
I'm standing next to you even when I'm not
I love my stormy in all kinds of weather.

The Twist

as I rolled the dice
and wished real hard
I knew I was taking a chance
hoping even dreaming
believing in a state like trance
that I would roll a seven
in most games this is bad
knowing all possibilities my outcome proved I'd been had
I had been cased watched chosen only to be the one
who would fine love lose love all with a hand-gun
the struggle amidst a bad turn the moon had watched my sun
the stars were bleek and laying for guiding light oh my was I out done
I didn't know I was being played like an old foogies game
my shadows knew I had no clue but I now feel ashamed
I mean its no excuse too be played like a fool
I'm sure I had all the signs
I did you see it was clear to me
minutes hours I had spent my time
wanting to roll the dice again
lies await a passion of crime.
my shadows needed

Petal

My face touched your petal
As I awakened to the scent of you
I remembered this fragrance of some would say like morning dew
It was light yet suttle with a hint of sweet
Delicate like foliage but color of honey feet
As I held you close I gently rubbed your chisled hips
I could still feel the movement from those soft and tender lips
How they felt as they caressed my hand
Pleasant, kind and meaningful unlike any other plan
That you may have set for us to walk this land
As I smelled of your petal I knew I would travel
Down this road of confusion and of loving you
Once bleek even scary but given numerous chances
I enjoyed our love of tantric, word and spiritual dances
Your moves of tantric paralyzed my soul
Its so easy to get caught up in you and completely lose control
I watched you and needed you more to be in the depths of my world
As our petals touched in motion aroused by our love swirl.

Catching Your Tears

It rained today
Shadows appeared later
Waiting behind the sun
Clouds were fuzzy and fun
You were standing there, and I
Was waiting to catch your tears
When the shadows moved
The sun said hello
Bright as can be
Just a little yellow
Well...it was beaming
As it illuminated the sky
It rained today and you had misty eyes
Life had you by the collar
By all your hopes and dreams
Your blogs and words of scholar
Still heaviness raced in your mind
Too much thinking and not enough time
For you...I was waiting to catch your tears
Memories of loved ones and fears
Life lessons of love yous
That changed you forever
Made you think about the what ifs
The shouldas wouldas and couldas
If I had this and that
Baby your wearing too many hats
What about us what about our skies of blue and teal
Muted ambers and bright golden years
Of loving and not leaving when all seemed thin
Life does have meaning
Its not just supposed to end
I..I'm still here catching your tears
When you have no mountains to climb
Spent your last dime
I'm still here waiting in line for a chance to
Help you change the world
See things in colors never explored
Tell stories with characters like us
Loves likes and you and never making a fuss
Reasons unknowned why we do what we do
Questions you ask never crazy come from truths
Cause when it rains again and the sun is hiding you
I will be there always to
Catch your tears whether it rains
I will catch your tears...

Sonny

You are my jazz oasis
With clear blue skies
Fading emotions and our babies cry
Silently keeping me awake no matter what night
My new mystery and my biggest fight
Trumpet play the loudest blown horn
Beautiful and busy since the day you were born
Wilted and withered worried we are
Figuring mistake made but how far
Will this go and when will it end
Your my jazz oasis
My little man is torn in his bright eyed mind
So physically strong unlike any kind
Love him sing to him you always do
All the dreams not put on hold
Waiting to see if society's normalcy unfolds
How do we know this is our gift
Make no changes of mind struggles don't shift
What has been given to you quietly
Gentle touches caress him
Only you know his melody
He is my jazz oasis.

Awakening

It was surrounded by honey bees
Blooming in my addiction
I couldn't see
That I was being trapped
By a desire that had me
Where my mind only thought of you
The inclusion of the bud
Had me longing for something new
It was the way that it opened
As it was drenched with morning dew
It came by submission never knowing
Just the natural progression of life
We welcome the heights it can grow
Purity of calm in this space so low
It has me bent over
With a full belly of hardcore love

Do I Think of You

do you know how much I think of you
in my thoughts often yes I do
miss you kiss you quietly I can't wait to dream
as I close my eyes your standing there in cream
you approach me in your cream linen suit
looking succulent as my favorite fruit
so fine you always look so good
a beautiful piece of art carved from any type of wood
locs so long thick and healthy
I believe we could be so lovely
as you reach for my hand how could I refuse
the smell that radiates from you as the wind blows
is the scent of amber musk and honey rose
a deep sexy blend with a touch of sweet
my senses are in love with your melody
you awaken things in me that I thought I lost
I wish I could visit you often
no matter what the cost
I can only find you in my dreams
its clear to me
my secret visits to you are my remedy
of why I think of you all the time
for restoration of love trapped in my mind
Oh how I think of you.

Shores of Lonely

I walked by your shores of lonely
Passing by I could see your the only
One standing there next to the sand
As it caresses your feet and hand
You play with it as you speak out loud
Cries of sadness darkened clouds
Surround you as you sit and mope
Life has you were you can't even cope
If I could hold you and make it all better
Take the woes of life and mail it in a letter
I would send it where it needs to go
Where that is I don't know
Just tell me how I can make your shores be free
Take you away from this unpleasant sea
Take you too a place of love
You will feel like the clouds above
At peace no problems or concerns
Unearthly treasures no more burns
Of life and its worry place
I give you my word I can erase
Away your shores of lonely
In my heart there is space.
