The Twist
as I rolled the dice
and wished real hard
I knew I was taking a chance
hoping even dreaming
believing in a state like trance
that I would roll a seven
in most games this is bad
knowing all possibilities my outcome proved I'd been had
I had been cased watched chosen only to be the one
who would fine love lose love all with a hand-gun
the struggle amidst a bad turn the moon had watched my sun
the stars were bleek and laying for guiding light oh my was I out done
I didn't know I was being played like an old foogies game
my shadows knew I had no clue but I now feel ashamed
I mean its no excuse too be played like a fool
I'm sure I had all the signs
I did you see it was clear to me
minutes hours I had spent my time
wanting to roll the dice again
lies await a passion of crime.
my shadows needed
