I'Ve Learned

I've learned to live fully; in abundance n in lack
(I've learned) to be grateful and humble in all positions that am in
To see hard times merely as situations disguised as luck
And with that mentality I've never lost for even when I lose I win

I've learned the art of love; to always do my best to give
For the hand that giveth is the hand that receiveth
I've learned to give back more to whatever I receive
For the only love we give it's the only love we are left with

I've learned to heart that it's the little things that count
The smiles, the walks the simple joys of everyday
Cause at the end of the day it's a life of fulfillment that we want
And oh, I've learned to count my blessings every single day

I've learned the art of living; to live everyday as my last
Because life is short n surprisingly goes very fast.

Things I Wanted To Say But Never Did

I wanted to tell her that her presence brought me goosebumps
And whenever I wanted to talk to her I'll experience throat lumps
She amplified my testosterone as well as my dopamine
I wanted to tell her that and sweetly ask her to be mine
I even wanted to whisper in her ears and tell her the 3 'scary' words
I once almost suggested we get high and go stone the birds
The other time I was just about to ask her for a kiss
But her best friend then appeared and away ushered my 'miss'

I wanted to tell her of that scenario but thought better of it
I hadn't ever tasted her but wanted to tell her she's sweet
Our encounters were few but my feelings were much
I wanted to open up to her wishing she'll reciprocate with some touch
I wanted to tell her she's perfect and am all she now needs
I'd argue with facts for her to judge me with my deeds
I wanted to tell her that and much more for she was my crush
But every moment I held my mouth shut for she believed men are trash.

Freedom of Death

Long the chains of the disease confined her
Weakening her already unresisting health
Too frail to live for tomorrow
Yearning for the ultimate freedom
Worsened by our dull faces
As we only watched with hopeful eyes of Azrael

But grandma was rather strong,
She kept going, day after day
The disease though unrelenting
Was ignorant of the sacrifices we made
But determined to the hope we held

Letting go, grandma suddenly surrendered
And we rejoiced in sorrow
Her lifeless face spotting a smile
Happy to finally receive this eternal freedom
Freedom of death.

RIP grandma.

Friendship

Friends can be the one who will help you from the start
But friends can also be the ones who will tear your life apart
Friends can be the people who cheer you up when you feeling sad
Or friends can be the ones who in the first place will make you go mad

A friend is someone who is always there
Someone who will listen to you and always care
Rare as is true love so is a true friend to you
And to have one is a blessing achieved by few

For most friends are only there when it's beneficial
No wonder the overrated relationship is overtly artificial
And worse is when you have a friend who wears a mask
Hiding deceits, secrets and lies which finding out is a hard task

All we can hope for is having a true good caring friend
But first we need to have those qualities to blend
For friends are important and should never be taken for granted
And you can establish this if you have someone who can help you out if u're stranded.

Life's Short

To live a long life unfulfilled or die a young legend
I don't know about u but I will forever choose the latter
Death is inevitable to everyone so it doesn't matter,
If u live 100 years or u only have a year to spend

The fullness of life is to live it to the fullest
Life goes so fast,, u'll never have another today
So don't live on the past,,live now come what may
Live everyday with the mood of a fest

Make memories now when u still can
So that u don't regret when u become old
When u wish u were younger n a little more bold
let your grand folks have sth for you to learn

'You only live once', ain't just a popular phrase
So live knowing u'll die n it's only one chance u got
Unless u believe in reincarnation, one day this body will rot
Why not then live your best life now in that case

And remember...they gon judge u anyways
But since they ain't God, ignore them
Life's too short to let others control your game
So live laugh n love now n u'll have the best days

Artistic Love

Love,like art should be free
It should not be forced, rather grow like a tree
It's not something we set or control
It's something we should let freely to roll
It's a force that comes into our lives even without a knock
And somehow we find ourselves opening the lock
It then stays without any rules or expectations
And defies the set upon existing limitations

Am not good in art but I can draw us together
And you're a lover of art,a bird of my feather
I can paint your face to forever glow
But art is not hurried so I'll take my time slow
And whenever I write, you'll always be the words
Shakespeare's style, you're the queen so I'll play well with the cards
To make this artistic love a reality
This time straight into our souls clarity.

Lost Kid

When u look at me and u realize am not okay
And u ask me what's wrong n I just smile with nothing to say
Don't pester further cauze I've nothing to tell
There's no way I can tell u what's life like in this hell
You wouldn't even understand let alone believe
U'll think that am just improving my skills to deceive

But if u know me too well u will notice am lying
And that that's not my euphoric smile am just trying
I know u will realize that there's definitely something wrong
That beneath the silence is a figure faking to be strong
U'll also realize that am afraid of speaking out
But if I do, will u handle what all this is about?

I know u care and I can only be helped if I share
But I don't wanna be helped am good I swear
I've been in so much darkness that I don't need light
Say used to  I need no one to help me in my fight
Cauze once upon a time a time I planted this seed
And until it bears fruits,, I'll remain a lost kid!

Knight In Shining Armour

Growing up,,
I thought everyone was built to have someone
Someone that w'd be always there for them
Someone who will be the knight in shining armor
I figured that our lives are like puzzle pieces
And through the way we lose some pieces
When they all get up jumbled up in the world of chaos n evil
But for it to be complete,the puzzle pieces must fit together perfectly

Grown up,,
I lacked someone to save me on those times
I barely made it through
There was no one to lift me up when I was low
In many wreckages I pulled out through myself
I realized am stronger than I've ever thought
I became stronger for myself n then for someone else
I found out the missing pieces of puzzle was still in me
And in finding them I became whole,again!

Happy Endings

I love stories with happy endings the most
Cauze I want to be happy n gay
But if we alter truth for lies it is unjust
Cauze it's true that night cannot be day

I love when lovers in a story end up together
The case of '..and they lived happy thereafter..'
But some end up tragic and it's a bother
How quickly a happy story can lose it's laughter

Our story is a rather complex one
 I wonder how it's end will be
Cauze rarely are happy endings to a man
But let's wait live it out and see.

Let's Pray

Dear God,
   As  I begin this day my thoughts turn to you
   I ask for your help and guidance in everything I say and do

   Let me live but for today, not worrying what's ahead
   For I have trust that you will see I get my daily bread

   Give me the patience I need to keep and a piece of mind
   And with life's trials and struggles, I have some happiness 
    to find

   Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
   The strength and will to change those that I can change

   Fill me with your Holy Spirit to lead me on the right way
   And in your grace I may flow in everyday

   I've failed you many times but tonight when I rest
   I pray for your forgiveness while I try my best.
