Jeannette Ruffin Poem
Inspiration is what makes a person, in life, want to keep on giving,
For without your sweet inspiration, I would have lost the zest for living.
You inspire me when everyday life seems to get me down,
Just the feel of your tender touch is all it takes to bring me back around.
When it sometimes feels as if the world is closing its door on me,
Deep down inside I know you will be there to let me back in because your heart is my key.
The Key to Love, Friendship, and happiness,
because it is your inspiration that keeps me at my best.
Yes, Inspiration is what makes people want to be loyal, kind and true.
That inspiration is what you have given me to make me love you as I do

Jeannette Ruffin Poem
To: An Old friend
After 20 years separation, how glad I was to see you again, and
the memories that came flooding back as we talked were memories of more
than that of just old friends.
How well I remember, we were once in love... young, foolish and unsure,
But somehow I couldn't help but to wonder if now that we are older and wiser,
could love for us possibly endure.
I wasn't much with words then and you were more than a little shy,
Perhaps now that we both have more self confidence we could give it another try.
Though the years have passed and surely brought many changes of heart,
The feelings I had for you then, still remain as though we were never apart.
Yes, as I sit back and visualize the sweet memories of you and me, I can't help
but wonder if our love could ever again be. JBR

Jeannette Ruffin Poem
Love is the absence of the power to control ones emotions.
Jumping into something with no intention or the ability of giving full devotion.
Neither of the two being able to handle the situation,
just taking it upon themselves without a moments hesitation.
No, this is not really love, just a mere infatuation.

Jeannette Ruffin Poem
Although she has transcended this existence and the same cosmic space we no longer share,
In my heart Mom will forever and always have a place of honor there.
There's not a moment or a day that goes by that I don't think of her or mentally speak her
name.
And though not a physical presence, she is, as always, by my side guiding me just the same.
Some may think I'm crazy when they see me talking and laughing when it's only myself that
they see.
But what they don't realize is my conversation is the enjoyment of someone else beside me.
Just as when she was physically here, she still greets, warns, and advise.
For me to ignore this communication would be both foolish and unwise.
As the years of my life start to pile up and I look more like Mom in my mirror,
and as my own children grow older, suddenly all of her lessons taught to me are more
understandable and the messages so much clearer.
Yes, My Dear Mom, though she is no longer with me in a physical form,
She is forever present, as from the beginning of my life, keeping me safe and warm.

Jeannette Ruffin Poem
Even with you deployed so far away
I still feel your presence night and day.
Hearing your voice calling my name in the night so sweet,
feeling your gentleness as our lips meet.
having the warmth of your body so close to mine,
I cry out with passion as our hearts and bodies intertwine.
But just as we are about to reach that moment of shear ecstasy,
I awake to the disappointment that you are not laying next to me.
I find that it is only a dream, a dream so real.
A dream that expressed all the love we both feel.
As well as the longing and desire I have to hold you so very close,
to whisper my darling "I Love You " the most.
and tell you I miss you so much with all of my heart.
But as real as my dream was we are still miles and miles apart.
Although my dream seem so live and so true, nothing or no one can
take the place of expressing feeling of love with you.
"Be safe My Love"

Jeannette Ruffin Poem
In Our Fathers Eyes we see the kind of pride and Joy that only a daughter can inspire.
In our Fathers Eyes we see Expectations of greatness and the fulfillment of our positive
dreams and desires.
In our Fathers eyes we see the hopes as well as fears he has, as he pray that we choose
the path of all that is right.
A path that Glows with the brightness of the Lords Everlasting light.
However, what we see more than anything else above,
What we see in our Fathers eyes is a warm and tender Love

Jeannette Ruffin Poem
I've been through the fire but refused to be consumed by the flames
I chose not to give up,instead continued to play life's games.
Not only play but I was determined to win, even when it meant starting from go once again.
Realizing I had to give up what I had to obtain what God had in store, with his love and
guidance I found so much more.
I learned that true peace and happiness is not measured by the size and amount of material
things.
But by the love shared within a home by family and the joy that it brings.
By leaving behind the past and simply letting it be,
made quite a difference in my life, it set me totally free.
Free enough to let my spirit find it's own special meaning and place in this life,
and to discover the real happiness meant to be shared by a husband and wife.
In time I knew the worst was over and I no longer had to fear,
I started moving in a positive directions, now much better times are here.
