Gaia

Walk outside
open your eyes
leave yourself behind
and take in what your mother is giving you freely -

have a look at that flower
notice the symmetry of it all
a perfect mandala
a reflection of your mother's divine nature and love for u

notice the bee that lands gently upon the flower
collecting pollen in it's saddlebags on it's furry black legs
as it flits in natures dance from flower to flower
collecting gathering being a part of the cycle of life -

this is an amazing planet
full of beauty
overflowing with love
our home
mine
and
yours.

The Trees

They sway amongst the clouds and azure skies
majestic giants
enfolding my spirit in the webs they hold

I feel the utter strength they posess
as energies are drawn up up up through the core
into tender branches that touch the skies

my child climbs onto the back of one of the giants
held in an embrace
that is both awesome and serene
while she
overlooks the paths the little
ants take
far below.

The Wilton Diptych

Quietude instills itself within my psyche
as I most
facinated with The Wilton Diptych created by an artist
unknown
marvel over deep royal blues and sparkling golds
as the shimmering wings angels surround the protagonists -

this is what peace must be like I muse
a non doing of the physical body
of sublime centering
and contemplation
while beauty strikes an etheral poise
and balances itself
upon a tower of smooth grey stones that are seemingly fused together

impending and surreal moments of serene bliss
grip my inner thoughts
driving all confusion away
as the Diptych takes my breath away
it's glorious
portrayal
painted forever.

The Living Sea

the air smacks of saltiness from the seas
I feel so alive
fresh like
and wired for the most intrepid of experiences
this sea has me
cradles me in it`s briny fingers
and shows me it`s marvelous creatures that inhabit its environment

the sea is home to whales and dolphins
sea urchins and star fish
that cling and move over the slimy slippery rocks at the bottom

I am drawn to the sea
as it somehow touches the emotional aspects of my being
bringing breath out of depths of these lungs
and wave upon wave
splashing my breath from the shallows onto the shoreline

I give myself over to the sea
it`s rapturous glories that bind my soul to it`s heartbeat
I think
my home is here
within the sea of my heart.

On the Wings of An Angel

On the wings of an angel
I will fly
my heart freed
from that spirit on high

No more am I teathered to the ground
I see clearly
my body left behind
still love goes on forever and all around

In this place of softness and light
I still hold you
with all my might
you will always be in my soul

I view earth now from this ethereal plane
fragile and blue
and somehow so deeply
unguarded and in pain

I will call upon other angels
to love earth to health again
for she was our mother
who sustained us through the rain

So on the wings of an angel
I will fly
to the higher ground
in the azure sky

Pixie

In between the smooth black stones
and the long verdant grasses
I play
as I dance ever so lightly amongst
the wooded green
and
as I glaze upwards to the endless sky
trees wave at me
with a kind of spectral awareness
that puts my soul at peace
knowing my aloneness has nothing to do
with loneliness

All around I see large creatures leaving
slimy trails in their wake
eating their way through the wiry jungle
and over there
quickly they move together
as they lift their food source to take back home
to their queen in her quest for constant reproduction

I find the world outside of myself a dizzying derangement
filled with moments happening at the speed of light
flashes
that threaten overwhelm me with
the feeling that life
is sucking me dry

Some call me the elfin one
my wings a gossimer fabric to display the riot of colour
I use to camolflage me when I quake
and am quietly unsure....

Some also call me the elusive one
and the tales are renoun
as they weave themselves between the heather and the ivy
I call myself a Pixie
as my laughter can be heard from hill to dale
and as the lovely night falls so deep
you can see the
blinking
of the phosphorous dust that surrounds my flight.

A Woodland Path

A woodland path in the dappled sun, hushed and quiet
sometimes straight
sometimes curvy
sometimes up
and sometimes down
but no matter which way it goes
colors displayed go from verdant shades to brown...

along the way mushrooms have sprouted their
white speckled tops over the red hood
and skunk cabbage
blooms
in an odoriferous kind of way
really
it is a most beautiful day -

this woodland path
holds many discoveries for the eye to see
if only one might take the time
to simply be
be one with natures abundance
as the time comes and goes
and as I walk along
there is a pond that from the shadows grows
so calm and so still
my woodland path
takes the edge of the cities chill.

March Madness

beware the Ides of March
the soothsayer said
as a roman swiftly cut off another man`s head

tis a dark mood indeed as the sun bleeds into moon
the howling of sirens complexities
grow louder as they swoon

for it is this march madness that is upon us
and has gripped us in a vice
shattered images of christmas
so soft and surreal
come hither these ides of march
and like an onion
come peel-

draw back your gums and challenge me with your great teeth
that I might rise up and strike these ides with a blow
never to haunt again
march 15th ergo.

This Emotion

This emotion seemingly carries me away
downstream
to where I see dolphins play
and the water
as it flies over the edge
reminds me of myself
fluid and free
getting to where I almost want to be...

this emotion endlessly is one of a cherished caress
no jilted lover
embossing their shadows upon my heart
the part I play
is simply a moment in life
where love and laughter meet....

this emotion is only fueled more by your smile
planting seeds in my heart of love that goes from warm to boil
and your touch
so searing and so sweet
allows me the freedom to let our lips meet....

this emotion
so colourful too
holds my heart
enbroiling me and you.
