Sagwadi Maluleke Poem
Dear girl
I want to take you home
Make you a citizen of all that I am
I want you to explore the deepest parts of me
I want you to Make a home of me
Scatter parts of you everywhere
Make a mess of me
The beautiful kind
And I promise to never clean you out
I promise to never make you feel like a guest
Dear girl
I am inlove with you
And I know someday you’ll leave
I know someday Only the memories hanged up on the wall will make this house a home
But dear girl
Make a landmark of me
Plant something inside of me that will grow long after you’re gone.

Sagwadi Maluleke Poem
We have had to live in the dark for so long
consumed by nothing beautiful but ourselves
we see everything beautiful... but ourselves
I know
how shattered hearts shimmer the dimmest of light through the cracked pieces and the brightest of light through the same spaces...
I know...
how you've kept looking for love in the same places
slit open your wrists...
how you’ve looked for love in the wrong places.
We have had to live in the dark for so long
Reason you approach love closed eye
Cautiously...
Babysteps...
We’ve been blinded for far too long...
To just dive right back in.
