Luminescent

Pearl
Luminous, Pale
Shining, Rolling, Crashing
Sitting in the depths of the sea
Pearl

Trapped

In my dream, I saw a weeping man Not knowing what he had done, I lent him my hand When he reached, his hand slipped through mine Turns out his soul was trapped in my mind.

Ode To the Birds

The fluttering of wings, The chirping from above, What music do they bring, Those birds that I love? With weeds in their mouth, Tangled with hay, They fly back south For a temporary stay. They bring beautiful songs, The ones I adore. Here it belongs, My heart longs for more.

Friend Chores

One friend a day, One simple chore, One minute away, From another bore.

Obsessive

Oh, listen to the songs of my new heart.
I write all my life stories with a pen
For if my sad life would have to restart,
I would do it all to see you again.

I float down to my world with you once more.
My parasol floats through the air with ease,
And finally, my feet will touch the floor.
The clouds below give me a gentle breeze.

If fate shall lead your heart from loving grasp,
Never give her satisfaction, my love.
When I see you again, your hands I’ll clasp
So you won’t be taken to skies above.

If I must die for your love then I will,
For any person you want, I shall kill.

Unnoticed

That smile of yours is so carefree,
I’m not sure you know I exist.
Oh, look what you’ve done to me.

I’m short enough that you can’t see,
You’re not sure what you missed.
That smile of yours is so carefree.

You receive a gift, who could it be?
You don’t even check the list,
Oh, look what you’ve done to me.

I sit you down and pour you tea,
You laugh as you assist.
That smile of yours is so carefree.

You’re not sure what to make of me,
Yet still, I do persist.
Oh, look what you’ve done to me.

Perhaps I’m just a nobody,
But I think you get the gist.
That smile of yours is so carefree,
Oh, look what you’ve done to me.

Wisest Owl

This is meant to be a Fable
A wise owl was the smartest in the forest and had all the food it desired. A collage of nuts, berries, and small animals was stashed in his tree for later snacks. All the animals came to the owl for advice. One day, A squirrel came up to the owl with a question. “Owl, just what makes you think you’re the smartest in the land? How can one know truly unless they’ve seen the entire forest? You only answer to fools, so of course, you’ll seem smarter.” The owl was surprised by the question but nodded. “You’re right, squirrel. I’ll fulfil your request. I’ll go see the land and find out if I really am the smartest.” It stated. The squirrel quickly ran up the tree as soon as the owl left, laughing that he had tricked the wisest in the forest. But before he could celebrate with a feast, The owl swooped back and gobbled the squirrel whole.

Lonely Prince

A lonely prince,
One of highest pristine,
A lonely prince,
Who lacked his queen.
A lovely smile,
A lonely heart,
In a little while,
Will have a new start.

Best Friend

You were my first friend,
And you didn’t look away
Whenever the tears rolled down my face.

I remember the day we met,
You introduced me to my favorite band.
You were my first friend.

I remember rocking so hard to the music
My mask flew right off,
And you didn’t look away.

Although my face was distorted
You asked me what was wrong
Whenever the tears rolled down my face.

Ballad of Darling

“Darling, My Darling, How are you sweet one?
It’s cold outside and gone is the sun.
I’ve heard the news that your father has died,
I can only imagine the tears you’ve cried”

“Darling, Yes Darling, I loved my father truly,
Even if he was said to be a bit unruly.
Someone was dim,
For they have killed him.”

“Darling, My Darling, Why did they kill him?
Why did someone act on a whim?
I cannot believe one could do such a thing,
To the dad of the girl which I offer my ring.”

“Darling, No Darling, I cannot accept.
For there’s a sudden feeling that’s crept.
My father had wanted it this way too,
I believe the man who murdered him was you.”

“Darling, My Darling, How could you say such words?
I’ve prepared the wedding and bought the birds.
I have gone out all day looking for flowers,
It must’ve taken at least fifteen hours.”

“Darling, My Darling, it took fifteen hours,
To find the weapon; It was one of ours.
The knife that I gave to you was stained with blood,
You stabbed him and he had fallen with a thud.”
