Let me put it this way
Make it clear beyond a doubt
That what will suit you best today
Are many ways to loudly shout
Our method will improve your scheme
Provide return endorse your name
Send you out into the world apart
Make you winners of your game
Outline the essence of your excellence
Make your offer shine a light
Where must haves must be had from you
A blazing glaze of copy-write

As Expected

Swimming in together shoals
All at one with one another
Taking turns within the in-crowd
On the lookout under cover
Doing what we always do
Chancy spins in life’s roulette
To bounce around the spinning wheel
A guessing game of our best bet
Riding high on peaks of energy
Propagating for tomorrow
In the bedrock of resourcefulness
No need to beg or steal or borrow
Caught off guard in suddenly
The palace of the unprepared
Where the rule of action stations
Wrote a new book to be shared

Look Out

Everything is changing fast
In the space of clicks and likes
Mind control in overdrive
Your hits and views and strikes

Beware of what you put about
Giving far too much for free
They’re cyber tracking all opinions
We are their targets you and me

Tailor making food for thought
Pokes and nudges made to measure
Helping you to see their way
They have the low down on your leisure

Where you are and who you’re with
What is on your selfie plate
Your essentials prone’s and partials
Mesmerised in dreamlike state

Puffing up your self important need
To be something else among the crowd
Chasing fame to leave you stripped and lame
Whilst others watch and laugh out loud

Those clever minded psychopaths
Have a thirst to lay you bare
To steal your wish to feed their dish
And leave you desperate in despair

Did I Say That

In muddled games of 'hide and seek'
Announcing past stuff I recall
Recollecting states of hand me downs
Where I am never sure at all
Conversations in my childhood
My only clue those photographs
A comic book of joke existences
Long day summer blue-sky laughs
Now that I come to think of it
As more and more I try to do
These misty steamed up memories
No longer let me think them through
How do I know what makes me up
Among my route maps misdirected
Like headlines of my past passed by
In cutting rooms of things rejected
A shopping bag less missing items
Where absent minds can’t repossess
Something needed from that other room
I know not what and cannot guess

The Hole Truth

Today I found a pack of holes
with invisible surrounds
I put them in a see through box
in theory out of bounds
If by chance you come across them
please leave them as they are
they're sorted for convenience
so as not to look bizarre
Treat them with respect and care
so important is their place
if not holed up away from sight
they disappear without a trace

Dear Mother He Sang

Time was once a letter sent
A thinly packaged salutation
Revealing reads and rushes
A content discourse situation

Story lines entwined grapevines
Most privately complicit
A baton passed a relay cast
Too confidential to elicit

Artistic flair in swirling script
Stylish prose self styled emphatic
A photographic written pose
Of diatonic scale chromatic

Taken By Storm

Last night we watched a riot
A garden-raging row
Unable to contain itself
Full of everything right now

Dusty ice was flying wild
A weather vane of violent spin
Whirlpool winds and crystal falls
Manic screaming twisted grin

Not a night for city doorways
Under cardboard covered rooms
Where streetlights wink that all is well
The sucking blizzard mouth consumes

Lullaby For You

I wrote this new day lullaby
to turn your dark sky blue
sleep quietly and wake up bright
to all those things you like to do

You can sing it as you feel it
Make up other words that rhyme
Sharing harmony with pleasure
rhythmic beating hearts in time

As morning light shines in your eyes
to paint a picture in your mirror
with silver streams and starlight sprays
'words of love' will sound much clearer

Paradigm Shift

I’m adjusting fixed positions
On opinions and deductions
From now on breathing other airs
I have a stack of fresh instructions

I let go of once held handle bars
Veering off from straight line steering
Riding curves requiring nerves
Whilst watching stances disappearing

Chancers wait to try it on
Consider risk-maintaining stakes
Ask what can we afford to lose
Whilst still expecting lucky breaks
