Who Is She.

She is generous , witty, intelligent too.
With the eyes of an angel,
I'm telling you.
She can walk into a room,
and the people will stare,
yes she has a charming air.
The aroma of her perfume,
that smells so sweet,
I adore this girl,
from her head to her feet.
Who is she, I will let you decide,
may be she, is all in my mind.

Flying the Flag.

Here in Germany today,
 going to fly the flag,
 it's the friendly England v U.S.A.
 Beckham, Rooney, Terry too,
all the fans rooting for you.
Next month, begins the E.M .(Europen Championship)
The flag I can not fly,
England didn't' qualify.
So today make us proud,
let us hear the cheering crowd.
England do your best,
lay the football, ghost's to rest,
and show us what you ,
can do.Score the,
winning goals tonight,
then every thing will be all right.
Tomorrow, when I walk,
out the door,
my neighbour, won't laugh,
about the score!

Self Control.

These feelings are getting stronger, every day.
How long can I keep my self away.
I see you walk through the door.
                 Like Oliver I want more.

I seem to be like a magnet attracted to you.
Do you feel the same way too.

These feelings are getting stronger every day.
How long can I keep myself away.

Sometimes I wish you were mine ,to have and to hold,
                    till the end of time.

My self control I must handle, for I know you see me ,
                    from another angle.

As a friend not a lover.

                      For you belong to another.

Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday I want to say,
  to you my dear,
  on sunday your special day.
I would love to send you a card,
  yellow roses too.
 Though that is not possible,
  we both know.
  I can not ring you,
say what I want to say,
so I am saying it this way.
I hope you have a wonderful day,
you deserve it in every way.
I hope your wishes come true.
There is some thing else I want,
  to say to you.
Good luck God bless in all you do.
  Always thinking of you.
  Happy birthday to you .xxxxx

Barbecue.

The sun is shining,
warm summer,night
time to set the grill alight.
Wait untill the charcoal is white,
then you know,it's right.
Bratwurst, steaks,spareribs,
it makes my mouth water,
thinking of this.
The aroma of the meat
sizzling on the grill,
cold beer nicely chilled.
Salads,jacket potatoes,
garlic bread too,
any thing else,just wouldn't do.
Guests seated at the table,
all there from uncle Tom to aunty Mable.
savoring the grilled delights,
talking, well in to the night.
Aunty mable, stands up to go,
not too steady,don't you know.
Nothing to do with the drink,
it's old age, I think.
We party till early morn,
after having drunk, lots of korn.
Telling of tales old and new,
wondering how the time flew.
Yes that was a good night,
now it's time to sleep tight.

Nice Guy.

I saw a girl, the other day,
      she took my breath away.
For one moment I was back in time,
long ago when she was mine.
The eyes the hair, I swear,
       She was there.
I wanted to open my mouth,
      say remember me.
       No words would come out,
       the shock was too deep,
       the wounds still there,
       did she really care.
It was twenty three years ago,
we met at an R .A.F. disco
         We did every thing together,
ice skating outside in the winter weather.
She turned my world upside down.
         I was so happy ,
not a care in the world,
          till the fateful day,
          she blew my world away.
A dear John came my way.
"Sorry your a nice guy,I hope you find some one new,
there is no future for us two"
These words haunt me to this day,
           why do the nice guys,
            get blown away!

By the Lake.

Took the kids to the lake, today,
 tempertures in the 30's,
 sky cloudless and blue.
my sun tan oil, I took too.
 Don't want to look, like
a lobster, it's not in fashion,
looking pale , is also out,
so have to go for a healthy tan,
and leave you in no doubt.
The water was murkey, but we
did not care,as long as it was
 warm, we were happy there.
I did not swim too far out,
I have to see the shore,
feel the ground beneath my feet.
Any deeper, and I feel faint,
not the best way to be,
 stranded in the sea.
The kids and I had a fun day out,
a good time was had by all,
only now a few hours later,
 I am starting to burn,
the lobster look, is back in,
 at least untill the morn,
when I hope the tan will come,
and I am not so sore.

If I Could.

I would climb the highest mountain, for you
 if you asked me to.
I would swim the ocean for you,
 if only I could.
That sounds all well and good,
there is some thing I have not told you.
A mountain I can not climb,
I hate looking down,
an ocean I can not swim,
water is definitely not my thing.
I would build a house for you but
I can not promise it will stand,
when it comes to do it yourself
I have two left hands.
How about I sing for you
not a good idea,
my voice is so high
I could shatter your glass from here.
There must be some thing I can do
to show how I feel about you.
I will dedicate this poem to you,
now that is some thing I can do.

Old Computer.

My computer is so slow,
I think it has to go.
 Take the other night,
It gave me quite a fright,
 I switched the thing on,
only to wait for so long
then it started to slowly load,
it might as well have been
in standby mode.
It always seems when I need it most,
it gives up the ghost.
Now Iam not a violent man,
I would not hurt a fly,
but if my computer carries on,
then one of us has to say bye bye.
Some how I don't think it will be me,
I am only one,
computers there are many,
you can buy them ten a penny.

Lonely Hearts.

Five feet eight,
eyes brown,
this man is
looking, for
adventure,out
of town.
Blonde,
red hair,
or brunette,
have I described,
you yet.
A sense of humor,
is a must,
You can be adventures too,
ready to drop, every thing.
at the drop of a hat,
have I wet, your appetite yet.
If you ,are interested in me,
then send a photo, and I
will see.
May be we were ,
meant to be
get in touch and ;
meet me.
