Political

The votes counted
More ballots were founded
Voters in record numbers
Political sites, lots of funders

Plenty of unrest
Opposing sides, candidates at their best
Can we work together
Solutions instead of division. Oh, that's clever.

Taking sides, talking battles
Criticizing, interruptions, so much, it rattles
Working together
Sounds better

Political choices
The prople's voices
Demonstations, people shouting
Others doubting
Signs are made
They're not getting paid

Choices, confusion ensues
Who doesn't have the blues
The protestors march
Walking under the arch
Lots to say
Their cause will stay

Winter

The snow fell like shredded cotton
Beautiful as it falls and never forgotten
At night when the lights go on
I could swear I saw a fawn

The drops of snow melt away
A sight to behold, I must say!
The bonfire bright as they sing
A moment of silence, the phone won't ring

The stars glow bright in the night black sky
I wish on a star, it's so very far
The chilly night air, and frozen fingers
The wind gust starts, the chill lingers

A sight to behold, the wintery scene
Looking everywhere and not fully seen!

Farm

The rooster crowed
The wind blowed
The horse stomped
The pig chomped

The weeds grew
A yellow shoe
The dog barked
The car parked

The chicken squawked
The man talked
The sun shone
Good to be home

Olympic Games

The understanding race
Much competition to face
The disappointing loss
Frustrations tou must toss

The skaters dance
The underdogs chance
The pressure of perfection
The judge's selection

The winner's adulation
Stands for a nation
The cheering crowd
Grows ever loud

A skiers mistake
Acceptance one has to make
The pair skates
The hand shakes
How beautiful they glide
How nervous inside

Time Passes

The wind whipped
The child spoke
The slipper fell
They called her simple folk

The tire screeched
The moment passed
Long forgotten
Hidden in the past

The painting glowed
The figure moved
The light of life
Impressions of food

Wild Nature

Wild honey
Smoking trees
Hopping bunny
Higher fees

Wind blowing
Burning fire
Tragedy flowing
A deflated tire

Friends engaging
Believers speaking
Winds raging
Gas leaking

Daily Musings

The bird was chirping
The man was working
The door creaked
The woman shrieked

The woman wrote
The man spoke
The leaf danced
The horse pranced

The chicken squawked
The child talked
The dog barked
The car parked

An elderly man running
A young girl is sunning
A tune is playing
An old man is praying

The sun is rising
A company is downsizing
A jazz tune is heard
A buffalo herd

The clouds form
Executives brainstorm
The weatherman predicts
A man's cold afflicts

A bell is heard
Commencement incurred
A leaf fell
It is brisk, I can tell

A violent siege
A brainstorming Gottlieb frege
Footsteps on scattered leaves
A hungry man at a foodbank receives

City Life

The lights changing
Cars racing
Salvation army bells ringing

Shoppers buying
Children crying
Sales people convincing
Customers wincing

Honking horns
Life is a thorn
Shrinking income
Angry and confused
Is this person I should become?

Constant stress
Wish I was blessed
Disappointments chronic
Looking to have a tonic

Life's Movements

Something falling
Someone calling
The phone is ringing
A woman singing

Fishing through a purse
A man with a nurse
Climbing the mountain
A coin in a fountain

A bird singing
Holiday food she's bringing
Hustle and bustle
Eating a tuffle

Frustration

The chronic state of uncertainty
Confusion and madness
Making mistakes inadvertantly
Lonliness leads to feeling stuck
Could use a bit of luck

When everything goes wrong
Hard to remain calm
Just want to sing a song

The same thing over and over
Driven to madness
Nothing left but sadness

No security, no peace
What can one hope for
Afraid of disease

Hungry for purpose
Financial constraints
Smiling on the surface

I have needs to be met
A long and difficult road
If nothing transpires, I'll get upset
No princes in sight, only a toad

Lonliness sets in
Frustration, here we come
Can make your head spin
Someone asks where are you from?

Alone I swear
What to do
It's just not fair
