Suicide

That which comes, is
               Black;
            Absolute;
Despicable, like the words
of Lucifer unwhispering...
       ...into absence: 
                  [ I ]
ABYSSUS ABYSSUM INVOCAT
                  [ V ]
                I pray,
"to take with the air
          ...my quiet breath",
but still I breathe, 
still I bleed for Death, charging at the flesh
with the most selfish knife:
               Suicide.

"Now more than ever seems it rich to die,
         To cease upon the midnight with no pain,
                While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad
                        In such an ecstasy!
                         Still wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain—
                                 To thy high requiem..."
