the unfixing verge,
resisting the dirge
or you'll be followed by dirt.
Understand you are pre-expired,
you die to be desired.
You drink to be inspired,
and fire to get you higher.
None of this matters,
your mind will someday shatter.
For all who came to see;
you became a witness
to this disaster.
Alas, your claim to class.
Your money moves you fast,
but tombstones wait
behind graveyard gates,
because fate is paved in fact.
What's that?
You're a class act?
A showman of the bunch,
timeless among the pact,
but when life comes along
and your show must go on.
The Director yells, "that's a wrap."
You can't buy an afterlife,
you can't even buy today.
So put hope in what comes after life,
