Our lives are filled with twists and turns
we watch days pass with no returns.

Our lives rarely turn out like we foresee,
those filled with vexation can’t live carefree.

But the wise will always be thinking ahead,
while recalling a cross where blood was shed.

Jesus took upon himself mankind’s sin debt,
now we can live our lives without regret.

He knows the plight of the tiny sparrow,
so a wise choice is the straight and narrow.

“Always do what you say you’re going to do.
It is the glue and fiber that binds successful relationships.”

If You Were Coming In Fall

As the warm air moves out and the cold air breeze in
There’s no sign of you coming back this season,
If you choose the winter it'll remind me of the cold nights
Forgetting the happiness and remembering the fright
Remembering the way you took the color off my skin
Leaving me uncovered in this ice cold dreadful wind,

I’m going to clean before spring, before the birds start to sing
Before the rain knocks against the trees and make the leaves ring
Try to mop away the tears and sweep away the cries
Try to forget the way you hung me out to dry,

When summer is here, I know that you are near
But not close enough to dance in the sun
To run across green meadows till the day is done
Instead, i’m lonesome in this impassionate heat wave
My nights are long but I try to stay brave

If you were coming in fall
Winter is long gone
I have escaped the showers that April brong, and the caged bird’s song
In the summer I hope you heart stayed pure as mine
Please come in the fall because it's the perfect time.

The Streets of Toronto

She walked down the streets of Toronto.
You see she had nowhere to go.
She,d climbed off the bus at the station,
From Timmons Ontario.

Her Stepfather would often rape her.
He,d done it since she was thirteen
She was leaving that nightmare behind her.
She,d soon learn what that word would mean.

She met a nice guy down on Dundas.
He,d give her a nice place to stay.
By the weekend she was a hooker.
Circumstance happens that way.

Crack cocaine was her favourite drugs name.
It seemed to numb her mind.
It must be God,s way I once heard her say.
It was the only answer she could find.

Now she walks down the streets of Toronto.
She does,nt hold no one to blame.
She say,s that she,d go home tomorrow.
If she could remember her name.
