Lord, see how is contended the high places
And rightly so for it attracts the shrewd galant aces
But pretty much a duel between good and evil
Each rising to the challenge of the rival
Not to bolster statesmanship or healthy sportsmanship
But the onslaughts and assaults of values and worship
And the day is ruled by the side in occupance
Tipping the land's blessings by their stance
But the nations of the world are now of our Lord
And things will veer from the imposing man's accord
And a very subtle hand of the Divine
That begins by signaling a sign
Before it slowly closes in in a creep
And clenches into a locking grip
One that halts, propels and baffles history
All to a Holy God in His Glory

I stand in defense of decorum and civility
Spirited debates over a cup of tea
I'm a staunch supporter of the art of statesmanship
To be worthy of my fealty
To gain my unwavering loyalty
You must possess integrity and have a guileless lip
I will demand no less
I will cross swords with the best
To ensure our cause stay pure and true
I will not bend ear to chicanery
I will not follow an evil command
I declare this to be chivalry's last stand
Where does one go when honor abates
To follow someone with villainous traits
No! To such I refuse to pledge my hand
The world is awash in vulgar disposition
It has yielded to every foul imposition
Let valor prevail at chivalry's last stand

"Did Farage really skinny dip?"
Well that's an image I'd rather skip!
Instead, I'll marvel at his craftsmanship
And try to write a playful quip…
For, somehow, again, he's in the news
He might as well, he's nothing to lose
So, as some poor sod tries to fill his shoes
He'll remind us of his own virtues
He says he's leaving now to restore his health
After creaming his wage from Europe's wealth
He got his way. He's pleased with himself
And will I miss that smug-faced elf?
No! - Off he goes, and I won't cry
There'll be no teardrops in my eye
No solemn words, no heavy sigh
Just a finger or two for my goodbye
So, away he goes, towards the sunset
He won't go far - on that I'll bet
If you're a fan - don't be upset
I doubt we've seen the last of him yet
I'm not bitter, I've no time for hate
But I won't miss his method of debate
Will he sit and listen? Quietly spectate?
No, but he's sort-of gone... so let's celebrate
So, did Farage really skinny dip?
Again, a mental image we'd do well to skip
Let's marvel, instead, at the statesmanship
Of the modest ex-leader of the mighty UKIP
