Quote: "Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love." By Rumi

Spring geckos dance amid the early dew,
Olive snuggles with dulcet dreams as mint.
A duckling settles softly in a shaded view,
Okenite feathers smoke in a dizzying hint.
Emerald drips flow over the damp meadow,
While May rain pours down, akin to arrows.
Windswept snags utter a rose-scented breeze,
A smooth swoosh paint with oakmoss squeeze.
Purple iridescence widens in spinel phlox,
Ancient songs reverberate in the grassy blocks.
With the light, a shooting star makes its way,
Dashing over a midnight black onyx display.
In the embrace of mauve marigold air,
Dandelion tufts sparkle as opals laid bare.
Whispers in the sky, drifting glare.
Amber lights grace the holiday
Unfolding hope for hearts in gray
Gladiolus bloom in shades of pink
Under the beams of lights that sink
Spinel sparks inspiration
To hopeful hearts in motion

I thought I would share some of my favorite items that I use frequently. They are materialistic and in all honestly most I could live without! Whoopie pies are a dessert that resembles two chocolate cake like cookies with cream in the middle.
A good mystery book, reading “Pretty Girls” by Karin Slaughter right now.
My morning cup of coffee, as steamy hot as I can get it!
My rose gold apple iPhone in its pink case
My Netflix subscription, Dead to Me is a great new series!
Bath and Body Mango Mandarin body wash and cream
A weekly whoopie pie indulgence, I know I really need to stop!
Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee 1-2 times a week!
My cover girl eyeliners and mascara, makes me feel pretty!
My many purses that I have to match outfits and seasons.
Costume jewelry, especially my black spinel collection
My comfy t-shirts and shorts I change into after a long day at work!
My croc sandals, the most important part of my home wardrobe!
My favorite Kate Spade water cup I use every evening for my lemon ice water
My kindle fire to play candy crush on and scope out Facebook

Oh, rare as you, another gem can't be,
First found in Dublin, quite by accident -
There sold as cut Spinel to Count Taaffe,
Quite curious of how its light was bent ...
Adept was he at how spinels appeared,
The ones he'd bought peculiarly NOT so,
For they reflected light so subtly weird,
In varied hues of pale mauve afterglow ...
So, hoping he had not been victimized,
He shipped them off for broad analysis,
Results as he could ne'er have realized -
A gem named after him of sparkly bliss ...
And that is how bright Taaffeite became ...
The rarest gem to EVER ... hold a name!
