Many don't know this about me, but then again in all honesty
there may be some who suspect that I live this way.
"How sad," some must think as they witness me sink
into a deeper "depression" each day.
My word is sincerely true when I say to all of you,
"Don't pity me. This is my chosen life that I embark.
It's probably very difficult for you to relate but I'm at my most tranquil state
when I'm sitting at home alone in the dark."
"This isn't healthy. You're alienating yourself." God I hate that shrinky, therapeutic attitude.
It may be a very fine line but there's a major difference when you compare and define
Alienation with True Solitude.
"You're in denial," many say. "You're justifying yourself.
This isn't something you should be treating as some passing lark."
Be that as it may, answers and solutions always come my way
whenever I sit at home alone in the dark.
