Once a week, rain or shine.
School assembly marching time,
Shoulders back, tall or proud,
Marching music, totally loud.
Ignored, rejected
abandoned, invisible
mirror of your ghost
A Featured Poem Week of July 1, 2018
God grants you this year
Give this day to love
Surrender this week
To humanity and family
Donate the month to yourself
As to sleep I was going
I chanced to glance out the window,
The Moon a week past Full
Was playing Peek-a-Boo with the clouds.
Survived a six-week vacation
in downtown Gary, Indiana
Bucket lists these days
have gone bananas
work like a jerk
all week
time you keep
by a clock
non stop
and you go play
its party all the way
you do too
need
ADAY PRAY
the fever overtook us
after our vacation week
needed a soak
soaked in each other’s skin
toweled off
grinned

This week's to-do-list
is trying to wrap myself
with everydayness,
just to hide myself from the
vivid memory of yours.
Only a week after you passed,
I realized I couldn’t take the hate inside of me..
That’s when everything, even my heart,
Died…
Form:
Weekdays
I like Mondays
it starts hopefully
Tuesdays
are a setback
then it goes
downhill
all the way
to bloody Sunday
Working day to day
Towards the end of the week
Friday's my best friend.
Pollen count is king this week
My eyes are red and they leak
Coughing and sneezing everywhere
King pollen count is never fair
Granny decided this week
To no longer wear false teeth
So she eats soft food
Like beans and stew
Much less meat in her cheeks
you work all week
time to seek
some fun
hard working sungun
needs to tump
and bump
let it out no doudt
GET DOWN AND FUNKY
One fine day last summer
came crazy Pete the plumber
he worked a whole week
I still have a leak
they just don't get any dumber
alexa alarm
makes waking up easier
feels like a friend
she tells me a joke
and temperatures for a week
the best friend ever
marriage in the dark
damp church not lit up for me
married the wrong man

It is said that change is good, is this true?
Last week we heard tell of a new change
My mate will die
Can this be good?

Saturday evening
The weekend parties begin
Beer at the sports bar
We've made it through one more week
Now is the time for laughter
twisting head muscles
rip down my neck and tighten
even my teeth ache
need to close my eyes
in dark silence
a week would be good
