Broken Heart

That vital organ
That pumps blood throughout
We’d die without it, there’s no doubt.
And yet
When it breaks and is betrayed
The person is already slayed.
The heart is a fickle, foolish beast
And a broken one is quite diseased.

In your head

it's all in your head
yes, it's all in my head
that's quite literally
the problem, in my head is
my brain, a vital organ

they call it mental illness
but a broken brain harm's
the body

so, telling someone
"it's all in your head" is
as useless as telling
someone having a
heart attack
"it's all in your heart"
