If all there is…

Changing Life By Poetry
I turn the fallacy
by the poem
malavite
for the dolce vita
the partenza
by the return,
ugliness for beauty...
so i live
and I always do...
 to modify the pain
by bliss...!...

Soffia Come Un Vento
delicatti wiggles mente
come una coda
fumo bianco nel nero
colline in lontananza
si transforma in nuvole
grigie
blus si fonde ad arancione
piccoli punti de vita
siamo nella vasta
galassia
d'amore
soffia come un vento...

Vita Nova
Poets see verse in every moment
beauty with every look
Pain for every step misplaced
scars that words prebook

Poets see light within the darkness
music in the dread
Hope when wishes cross the line
—life to those once dead

(Dreamsleep: April, 2023)...

La Bella Vita (The Beautiful Life)
Resounding heartbeat of the winds,
Resounding sounds of screams,
I hear their need for peace,
But I guess that's only me,
The trees topple like nothing holds them in their place,
And I just cry,
Tears stream down my face.
Life is hard,
But life is good,
La Bella Vita,
I love you....

Lobotomy Vita
(from The John Poems)

Transplant my heart;
I need it no more,
And remove my libido too.
Neither’s required
For this life I live,
Useless as love for you.

Lobotomize
The caring part
Of my overheated brain.
Then proceed to excise
The urge to dream.
I’ll never love again....

I Love Lucy
Lucy and Ricky had a television show
She was hilarious with Ethel and Fred
Her vita vita vegimen and chocolate delight
Made everyone laugh all night

Ricky was a cabana singer
Who played bongos on the Lucy show
He could never figure out what Lucy was up to
Until the end of the I Love Lucy show...

Novo Vita
Goodbye does not only mean to part
It may also mean a brand new start
Leaving behind the bitter memories of yesterday
For a new world had come to stay

The wave of goodbye may be bitter
For not all things stay forever
But the cuddle of welcome is sweet
And the best of things awaits

February 12, 2023...

Vita Contemplativa
Vita Contemplativa
We do not live our lives in the now but remember
it as a passed and what we did not do when the past
 was now and disappeared as an ant`s breath
as there is only one beginning- birth- we are shackled
to the past we didn`t choose but was pushed on us as
we had no ability to anything in the now...

Death Account
Time is money
As he locked the door, a palm came open
waiting for dues to be paid.
How many hours, days, weeks can you pay your wage?
So is the length of your life.
Thirty-five citizens of a town called La Dolce Vita
And closeted-in, they gave their worth
to breathe air once again.
Time is money
but living is far more....

His Epitaph, Short and Snappy
They nagged him till he'd had enough.
His one remaining joy was snuff.
Beyond the post that ends his race
he has found a better place.
This is no time to joke or laugh
but to write his epitaph.
Art is long but life is short.
I lack the time to more report.
Short and snappy were his days,
short therefore to him my praise....

Translation of My Poem In Latin
Far from rare to be sleek
be holy...
if peace be conquered
Be a parable...
conquer life, lest your sins fall
  on earth beware
But be patient
conquer your freedom

Procul harum este nitidi,
este sanctum...
si vinci pace
parabellum este...
vince vita, ne cadas peccata
in terris cave...
Patienta tamen
libertae vince...

Cathode Afterlife
The joyous song and dance man

--- deceased and buried in the 1980s ---

suddenly now on the tv screen

in one of his old movies,

tripping "the light fantastic"

across the tap dance limelight stage.

Ars longo, vita brevis.*

A Latin translation of Hippocrates' aphorism from its original Greek, often translated as meaning "Art is long, life is short"....

Ars Es Longa, Vita Brevis
Ars est longa,
vita brevis.
Art is immortal.
Art is infinite.
Pictograms tell a story,
of Man that have past.
Terra cotta pots and cuneiforms,
Depicts their details of Lives.
Paintbrushes and canvases,
bring history alive.
Statues of stone or metal,
Remind us of the legacies,
That people left behind.
Art is history,
And forever it will be,
The story of Life
as we see it....

Impromptu
in a café
in a city
of a country
who knows which
one she has picked

never seen
never been
but longing
to belong to what
she already belongs

linguistically
mixed up silly
Spanish
in Sicily
laughing

otra
to altro
but
vino
stays the same

vida
and vita
so close
for a toast
drink more

so that
cheers
becomes
from salud
to cin cin

drunken
slurs
of
gracias
to grazie...

Ashes
Life,
full of bellows of winds
Churning our good deeds and sins
Here for a slight second
Then off to eternal bed
 beckoned

Whirlwind of mem'ries
Concealed in the shrowded
Clothed mortis de'll vita
In exalted lack of
breath cought cold

Ashes and dust
Is what becomes of
Us

Shadows dancing,
in winds all around
Blocks sun shining
from reaching the ground
Only to dance a tango with
death...

Splendid
Splendid ,
as silver moon
is the woman of mine.
Life illuminates
tender and lively,
engaging ray
swift and keen
flowing and silken.
light and vivid colors,
invisible aura
which takes me
as music
unpredictable.

Splendida,
Splendida,
come argento di luna
è la mia donna.
La vita illumina
Tenera e vivace,
raggio avvolgente
rapido e penetrante
fluido e suadente.
Luce e colore vividi,
aura invisibile
che mi prende
come musica
imprevedibile....

Via, Vita, Veritas
In the deepest hole;
My hand raises the soul;
In the darkest night;
My torch bears the light.

In the midst of despair;
My kindness upholds the fair;
In the cruelest sorrow;
My salvation is a better tomorrow.

My name, your refuge;
My love, flowing deluge;
My home, your sanctuary;
My river, single estuary.

I am the way;
The itinerary of everyday;
I am the life;
The passion ending strife;
I am the truth;
The wisdom set forth....

Kimpa Vita
On the grounds of Kongo dya Ntotila
Monte Kibango saw you born
O fearless daughter that quiet talks
Nganga Marinda of Mwana Kongo´s clan
In “Antonianism“ your belief was let known
To the dogmas of the Catholic faith, you were contrary
“Heretic!” - To death the clergy condemned thee
On life, at the fire that burned much
Still, your goodbye was sincere
Now, in deep sleep
Crowned laurels, in eternal glory
Rest forgotten of the filthy settler...

Premium Member I'D Like To Get Some Paper From Amalfi
I'd like to get some
paper from Amalfi, Italy
That's one of my dreams
To return to the Amalfi Coast
maybe stay
some time in Positano
Live La Dolce Vita
Pick up a journal,
some paper
which they are famous for
and maybe
pen a few poems
while I'm there.
It's on my bucket list
and I think it's going
to become a reality
in the next year or two
It's one of the most
beautiful places on earth
(if not the most)
and it is truly
heaven on earth....
