Cockcrow's Chill

Oh you—
gentle versifier,
why
still awake
in the cockcrow’s chill? Is there a lust, blooming
in the beak of your pen?

Premium Member Clerihew Stebbings

English versifier Ray Stebbings
to poetry the tetractys did bring
A complete thought in just one phrase

Versifier

cut from Johnson’s
gospel to uncover
humanity’s peepshow into
one another’s psyche
hungry for composition
from the anagram of
thought out of which
few valorous strains survive
conversion to golden flickers
through conduits of lead

Versifier - a Communion

Versifier - A communion.

The sacrifice, adore, psalms - divine,

Inner devotion is emotion, commotions of thought,

Truth - from estranged proverbs, severe afflictions of the sacred heart,

Verity is fact, the axiom domain,

The path - flames of sentiment,

A sacred grail, of poured emotions.

Poetry Diva

POETRY DIVA

A Diva flows.
Austere and tall, when I walk...
Strong and powerful, when I talk...
                   Not a versifier to deny!
I am true to form with my rhyme.

The Last Autumn

Leaf got cried,
On moving apart.
The pain wandered
Inside a Lil heart.

The living trend,
Lasting for long
Blowed the wind
Asking the will along!

To separate heartily
Relations on a bid!
Aparting soul merrily!
Getting a silent rid!

The determine lasts
One the only will,
Before moments pass,
Earlier to be shrinked!

Asking for a heart
Emotions let filled!
One with fond arts
Living love still!

Sinking Verse

the Poetaster
syllabic bastard
quoth the poet,
nevermore

thine versifier
pathos bathos
pathetic liar

rhymester runes
huckster tunes
hurry! hurry! hurry!

here's more of rhyme
no worry...or sublime
sub-worse verse

Word Sounding

The sounds of words can shake the skies
or cut an ego down to size,
when knowing sages have their say
of fitting words to seize the day,
conveying wisdom from the wise.

An avid versifier tries
through orphic craft to harmonize
with sense and lyric overlay
the sounds of words.

From inner cosmos may arise
the wordless visions word defies
that seek to find a worded way
with synesthetic interplay,
and thus in poem crystallize
the sounds of words.
