The Apocalypse
The ocean of vacillation..
The intense aura of gloom...
The essence of emotion piercing my heart...
The extremity of unrequited love...
The promotion of my quintessential idiosyncrasies ...
The utter silence of zephyr traversing my heart ..
My transmogrification into a vehement twee..
This is the end of the world surrounding you and me......

Twee does not Bother Me
Her odd, obnoxious behavior did not bother me
Others were annoyed by Viet Nam born woman named Twee
She might not have done things exactly like the rest of us
But she was polite and respectful, and I never heard her cuss
I was not concerned that her culture was not the same as mine
She never imposed her ways or ideas on me; I thought she was fine....

swing chair or module
Was it a swing or a chair? A module maybe?
It had a bunch of books, Nan counted eighty.
Whatever it was, it brought comfort to her.
The novels were amazing, the chair pretty pure.
She spent every night and weekend in there.
Telling everyone that her nook had better air.
It was built by her daddy, and it made her happy.
I was thrilled for her, said her cousin, Twee....

Daffodils At Easter
I remember one special Easter like it were only yesterday:
the vet gave us miraculous drugs for our ailing boy*
(we’d feared he’d have to be put down without delay);
he sat by the golden daffodils in our garden - sorry to employ
such twee imagery, but it looked like they were trumpeting with joy.
*Our first dog, Paddy, who had another quality year of life
Jack Horne, 1st March for Francine’s Daffodils contest...

We Call Him Wheelbarrow Man
Hillbilly Bobby shared his snack with a chickadee
The bird gave out some sounds a toot, a peet and a twee
His relatives came by and wanted bird seed too.
Bobby called in relatives to see what they could do.
They baked up cornbread and threw it onto the ground.
The smell of ham, beans and onions wafted all around.
They ended up feeding the entire chickadee nation.
Now this is an annual October harvest celebration....

Twee Twee, Twi Twiti Twi
Twee…Twee,
Twi…twiti…twi;
We are birdie sing a song,
wake up Sun,
It’s time to work;
Ghosty night gone,
was past,
Now in bright side of life;
‘O’ my Sun give us warmth,
Glisten us with your ignis;
Twee…Twee,
Twi…twiti…twi;
Florets they bloom,
Wet in ravishing dew,
Strewing tipsy scent;
Wavy breeze cooling us,
We flutter dance;
Its a time beak to beak,
We are birdie sing a song,
Twee…Twee,
Twi…twiti…twi;

Birdless Morning
It’s a birdless situation in the trees today
Birds have changed the location to stay
Could it be they can’t find any food
If they doubt the spring, its no good
Buds are opening the sun shines on me
But I can’t hear the birds happy twee
They have flown, or they lie down and die
If I only could see the reason why
I would tell you, if you care to know
Hope the birds will return, flying low
At the end of the spring, or at least
With the autumnal winds from the east.

Invited Puppies to Tea
I have invited puppies to tea with Earl Gray brew.
With canned beef, chopped liver and bits of chicken too.
They are coming in, frolicking with a twitch and a twee.
How much more delighted could this impromptu tea party be?
They do not like the cushy embroidered chairs, barking their disdain.
They have torn down some curtains, their energy is a drain.
I am worn out and overworked when I finally scoot them out,
That’s the last time I shall invite puppies to tea no doubt....

A Caged Bird Wishes To Be Free
A caged bird wishes to be free,
To fly with the wind and flee,
Let me fly like a bee,
And explore where my eyes can see,
Over the horizon to the green golf tee,
I’ll set camp and build an Indian tepee,
Singing alone with a voice of three,
Someone yonder will think it a glee,
Who says only women are twee,
Emotions are emotions even if wee,
I want to feel freedom if only you agree,
Being a caged bird I envy thee,
Taking your family on a shopping spree,
Leaving me in bondage at no fee,...
