Repudium Tempus
Time
divorces from memory
Moments
refocused sublime

Lost
in sequential detachment
Freeing the message
—unsigned

Tempus fugit - Time Flies
    No time for hellos
    No time for good-byes
      Busy, busy, busy, busy...

If so, the purpose of life
      must be to stay dizzy...

Tempus Ephemera
Capsules of time…
no beginning or end

The view from without,
the view from within

Defining the space,
transporting the hours

Moment by moment
—again and again

Angels In Transit
Death is a journey
that’s taken alone

Released from the tempus,
our spirits to roam

Death is a servant
indentured to slave

A Master beyond
—new Angels at play

Tempus Fugit
They say time flies when you're having fun,
That merely minutes pass between each rising of the Sun.
That quicker than you blink, the sands have all but run,
That faster than you think, the deal is dead and done....

Tempus Absumitur
No time for the memories,
no time to refrain
No time for the questions,
as answers proclaim
No time for the yearnings,
 regret hovers close
No time for new learning
—all time but a ghost

(Dreamsleep: December, 2015)...

Time Flies
'Tempus fugit' we cannot deny
for suppleness dwindles and mirrors can't lie.
As wrinkles start spreading and children depart
the truth of this saying hits home like a dart.

TEMPUS FUGIT

In a short life why must men be grave? We must all be grave men shortly.

Tempus Fugit Tb
Time flies they say
If so, may wings
each day soar high

May not regret
as sunset falls
beget dismay

Each new sunrise
With fresh eyes seize
And prize the day.

Tempus Fugit
I sat by the television today. Bored out of my mind I must say. I appreciate that I have senior status not as if it really matters. But when the television announcer place me as and old person. How time flies. I was just appreciating being a senior. Oh well tempus fugit....

Tempus Fugit L (Time Flies) Written: by Tom Wright 4/15/2018 When faced with a project that I’m eschewing, The time seems prolonged and I speculate why. But undertaking assignments that I enjoy doing, Time escapes, and figuratively speaking, does fly.

Nauita Tempus
Our past is never
 where its left,
the tide always returns

Those things unsaid
not put to bed,
like butter still unchurned

Returning once
returning twice,
its power built on fear

To undermine
those things adrift
—till anchored yesteryear

Tempus Incognitum
gears
always know
the minutes.
clogs corner
roman numerals.

What bird
lives in you
and how do you
every hour get
the feather symbol
to chirp?

In reaching zenith
time returns again
to downward spiral

i am the last
in the chain of being
for  i wind-up
the nest
time builds
on everyone's wall
as metal
pine-cones
ascend
as clockwork
does its
intended
mechanism....

Listen to poem:
Deceptive, drowsy,
the gray cat, Tempus, in doldrums
lazes, purring, stretching.
I have watched him:
cunning eyes half-closed,
he stalks bright birds near day lilies.
Wings wet from flights
through sprinklers' sweeps,
birds swoop, glide, flutter.
They light on dry grass,
strut and shake themselves,
are lulled. Then, Tempus
pounces on one bird.
The rest are routed…
And Tempus fugit....

Pale Daughters 4
Pale daughters wash between their ears
always requiring a shine
playing chicken
They ignore the red traffic lights
claiming they want a real life

A life without jewels
They jostle for manufactured joys
Tempus Fugit
How they age disgracefully
hollow like a shell
They gain your trust
then play cat and mouse
Viva la difference in reverse
they are only harvesters of
an autumnaless garden...

I shall forbear to wile away
My time in discontent.
But with each day,
Endeavor to extract from it,
The good that God has sent.

For though in awe of Him,
Intrepid, I shall strive to be.
Catering not to some earthly whim,
But at a Godly gait, in haste,
Using the time He's given me.

For as sure as each day brings,
With it a rising sun.
So time, the devourer of all things,
Will cause my sun to set
Making my life's work, soon done....

Tempus Fugit
Does anyone else have the feeling
That life is escaping too fast
That passing of time leaves you reeling
As present reverts to the past?

A blink, and the baby is crawling
Then walking to school on his own
Too soon university's calling
And full independence is sown.

For time cannot stall in its travels
And yes, we should treasure what's gone,
But shape as each new day unravels
Fresh memories that will live on.
