For a Moment
The sun goes down over the lake.
The sky is a beautiful baby blue.
In a few more minutes the colours will change
and fill the sky with a pastel hue.
Pink and mauve swatches will appear
over the lake in the evening sky.
Into indigo and rose they'll turn.
Watch the sunset as it goes by.
The colours of sunset leave me in awe.
I'm mesmerized by them again and again.
If I can ... I stop for a moment
to just sit and watch the sunset wane....
