Raindrops fall
All day long!
A yellow bird sings –
What a joy it brings!
Raindrops fall
All day long!
Now monsoon wind blows –
You and I are close!
The yellow frogs croak
No it’s not a joke!
Raindrops fall
All day long!
As she closes
the door
another stranger
amiss
but then
the sky
lights up
and clears away the mists
people are crowding around
all trying to hear the sound
leaving me out in the rain
but when she closed
the door
she never had to see the day again
the night didn't
go on
but her voice kept ringing our minds
but she closed
the door
and never saw the day again
A jay sat on the window ledge
Of the building opposite mine
She sang aloud in good range
Sounding astoundingly fine
Her wordless song I heard in dreams
Minutes before awakening
That melody was blazed in beams
I cannot be mistaken in
That it was you, who came along
To sing a song for me
To reassure I’m not alone
And you are here to see
How I’ll be doing through the day
Another day that goes
Without you, my singing jay
With song that needs no words
