Beneath terraced mountain peaks,
Where stars reach down like sequestered cousins,
And the land is split by silvern rivers,
The first tentative seed heads of snow
Settle on the sered treeline.

As the world turns

night churns away 

then a new day yearns

for the night to return

so the sun will adjourn

to the stern 

of earthly concern

while silvern clouds

drift wildly altern

making patterns 

that look like ferns

feelings enmesh.
Vacant eyes,
grim glacial flesh.

Silvern tears
mark me forlorn.
World shattered
upon the morn'.
