My Message to the Media
Brave, staunch Israel, will rise in the end!
After painful losses, victory shines ahead!
You media, laugh and paint Israel all black.
Of moral integrity, you do sickeningly lack.
Have you no shame, as Mother would say?
Do you think a pogrom is a game to play?

The crisp brown earth sits,
Broken
Where the depths of ocean blue
Still refuse to fall.
The Weary feet tramp,
Sickeningly thudding
Hewing the broken brown flesh
To the cloudy whirlwind above
Silence’s deafening din whispers,
Broken only by the harsh cries
of long drawn out croaks,
from circling scavengers
Winged in feathered rags
With naught but breeze to relieve
the cruel afternoon’s gaze,
frying the crisp brown earth.
Sickeningly unstable,
disheartened we stand
like brave little cowards
with solid, shaky hands.
We make declarations out loud,
oaths beautifully fall out of
our mouths.
Even the most significant pledges cannot be guaranteed
as our minds think up promises our hearts can't keep.
We're just a slew of hearts,
pounding no good hearts.
We're just a slew of hearts.
We're just a bunch of slayed, pounded hearts.
Just a slew of hearts.
I fear for you,
much as I fear for me
or for others like me
who may be here
for longer than I’d like to be.
But more than that,
I fear for you
nearly as much as I fear you.
The world so big
and overpowering and cruel,
and you so small
and young and exposed.
We’ve ruined you, I think,
and all that we’ll leave you
is just as badly ruined.
I fear for me
as I fear for those like me,
and I fear for you,
but more than that,
how sickeningly I fear you.
