Life has changed
rearranged
feels deranged;
I've been changed
and short changed...
Still I breathe
without seethe;
Losing speed
I choose need
over greed

layered silence
ego subterfuge
a comfort zone
if there be not
self-existent light
and ineffable peace
in a singularity
that is in self renewal
absolute and complete
abiding thus in itself
in restful contentment
so if we be not as such
we are short changed
06-June-2023
we got reports about wars of all sorts
being fought in and out of forts
the retort of some is to snort fire
right before they expire
breathe in breathe out,
twist, shout
scream liar liar with pants on
or off
short changed, and undressed
in the streets,
dead or half way there
far from home
wherever you may Rome
fluffy delight
left by grateful spirit
found sometimes on headdresses
or risqué fan dancers
or Bob Mackie’s Cher costumes
decorative in all ways
especially if you are a bird
owls are short changed though
White ones, blue ones, red ones
I feel honored as I find them
Male peacocks though, oh, my!
Nothing better!
Bonds are breaking cold
Upon the heart is all wealth
Nothing left but self
Secure in our fear
Violence has no heart left
Progress stumbles here
None depend again
Has love depended before
I have only me
The school of want gone
What can I learn without love
But hunger again
Guns without ears laugh
Machines without heart embraced
Victims of progress
