Prison of Love
Your love has arrested me,
Sentencing me to another life,
Your love has made me a prisoner of hope,
Forever is all I can see.

Premium Member Orphan In the Dock
(Before Sentencing.)

They called him ‘Poor Boy’
a victim of life’s promise...
a voice without love
neither percipient of
nor an indulgence in it.

Premium Member Poetic Justice
I landed in Poet's Court
Caught me speeding in my Sonnet
They judged it a rhyme crime
According to the officer's pentometer
I was doing 50 in a 25 word zone
I'm pleading for comma relief
Hoping to be released to free verse
Under supervision of course
Fortunately there's no sentencing in poetry
Maybe they'll just revoke my poetic license...

A Letter To the One Who Hurt Me
To one who hurt me,
I saw you turn pale
your face turned a shade of grey
when they read you your time
on sentencing day
you thought you could of won
but now your life will come undone
in your small cold cell
its ok
cause you created your own hell
so when you get angry or when you get sad
just remember your there
cause your a very bad man
sencerley,
your victim no more...

Dragons Smoke
Rip it out
Crease that foil
In your mind
Your thoughts
Begin to toil
Light that flame
Make that man made snow
Start to boil
Get that straw
Breathe it in
The dragons smoke
You drawl
Again and again
You repeat
That ritual
Which is now habitual
Will never end
Never be complete
Making you a liar
Sentencing you to it’s fire
From which it’s pain
You will never tire
It’s success
Is your excess
Never to be gone
Nor ever
Able to admit
You can not
Quit….....

Don'T Mention It
My solicitor forgot to mention
What I told him to mention
Before my sentencing
And, I forgot to mention
During the sentencing
To mention
What I mentioned
Before the sentencing
What was my intention
To be mentioned
That he forgot to mention
So, now I have a long sentence
And I mean in my sentence
Not in this sentence
Due to my solicitor
Forgetting to mention
What I told him to mention
And only mentioned
After the sentence
That he forgot to mention
During the sentence
What I told him to mention...
