The Calf Roper

From the California town named Truckee,
Came a roper of calves nicknamed Bucky.
But calves would troop,
Through his lasso’s loop,
He still thought he had talent, just unlucky.
For Eve Roper,
Poets with a brain remain in Spain
Left America not standing the strain
Started writing each poem in Spanish;
Now no poet from Spain will they banish.
Sounds like great idea and not outlandish.
Guess you could call this a
Horn style limerick which
I hope won't make you sick.

Eve's words have me tongue tied
Exquisite words that you read
They flow like a river through the trees
Her poems create a vision that all can see
Her imagination she writes with ease
Her delicate way she has all will agree
Her poetry brings peace and harmony
So I say to my friend Eve My Roper
I love reading your poetry
The mouth of Donald Trump
is bigger than his rump!
Both pump hot smelly air
which is hard to bare,
responsible for prolonged slump.
If he would only shut his mug
and his backside plug,
so the air would clear
and pleasant things we might hear,
instead of the nasty humbug.

It hung so limply like Niagara
Doc told him to take some Viagra
Just one little blue pill
Gave his wife such a thrill
It sticks up so high it could stab ya

Eve Roper loves to read nursery rhymes
She's held contests for these many times
She's written some books
To get children's- looks
It was worth spending her nickels and dimes
Her nursery rhyme books are lovely and swell
And children must love them all, I can tell
So, do take my advice
You should read them- once or twice
I am sure, you will enjoy them as well

A poet of the same ilk, that's sound.
It seems though that words are not enough,
We need to get out there and do some stuff.
Show folk what their missing,
Nature all around them wishing.
That we humans would implement the solution,
To fix the climate, stop pollution!
