Rocket Rain
Outpouring of rain
Drumbeat my heart to supple
Rocketing my soul....

Cost of Living
There are two wings
Even to my savings
To fly far on the Sky
Rocketing...

Pickpockets
Rocketing prices height,

Markets not set right,

Baskets carrying light,

All over pickpockets wait!...

That Black Velvet Night
crazy moon
wearing your
favorite
black
evening gown
flashing your
white neon
smile for
a thousand
miles
rocketing
across
the wild wind
of that
black velvet
night
in Tunisia...

Politick
an old man's mouth
nose dives

the slumping drawbridge
of an flattened fortress

rocketing obscenities fallout
fissioned lips as overtaxed
silkworms labor on

spinning cesium shrouds
to hide our dead
from presidential eyes...

High Country
The tang of crowberries and storm clouds
sieved through wind and limestone
sheep’s piss and heather.
Beneath the high rock, ravens spiral,
swoop through a flying sky.
This is my land, this moment
I declare myself the very image of the One image,
magnified, upright, somewhere between
a wind-blown gnat and the rocketing reach
of a reckless God....

There she is…
Hopping lightly from branches of
Each tree she rests on.

She is taking the day flippantly
Unworried, gently flipping thru’ the ruffling day
No matter what happens, even when things go

Beyond expectation of sweet bitterness
In dawn sorrow before dusk happiness
Rocketing up to the sky, and finally
Down again to the earth, gently, lightly.

(2013)...

Dreaming
Dreaming of that special day
Rocketing high to the Moon
Exiting through the spaceship doors
At last I’ve arrived tears of joy filled my eyes
My feet are ready to step on the Moon
In fact for to stay never want to go home
Now I am here with nothing to fear
Gob smacked ‘tis me with the Man in the Moon

Mary rushes to the market,
To buy biscuit, bread, butter,
Finds fabulous fare for Fluffy,
Crochety cantankerous cat of her!

Bobby loves leafing through books,
Bubbles blows bothersome brother,
Baby yells sky-rocketing loud,
Daddy hugs and kisses her!

Green grass growing gorgeous,
Georgie gladly ready to mow,
Dorothy demands dance costume,
Mommy merrily decides to sew!...

Outer space
The imagination game of the 60’s.
Vast adventure, unknown discoveries,
Unblemished planets, unrealized potential

Rocketing, spiraling, swirling,
Captivating, mystifying, overwhelming the imagination
Taking us to heights we dare to finally dream about,
Outer space

Rocket ship is stocked and ready to go
A five year plan, possibly never returning.
Who is with me?...

White-Hot Sand
anywhere, everywhere, all around.

And lost sea gulls crying;

sky-rocketing temperatures;

suffocating heat;

almost blinding sunshine.

Growing fear, rising,

outright, breathless panic.

Wait.

The churning tide indeed turns.

Under a darkening sky,

breached and booming:

a sudden, long, steady downpour:

cool, Heavenly rainfall,

great, emerald spouts

drench the thirsty sea....

Shut From a Silent Gun
Three shots of whisky, he was in a hurry;
sooner than expected the crowded bar took off,
rocketing blindly into a dark planet.

Outside, the evening was smeared with red sky,
a bleeding light hung like a punctured lung.

Back home
he dabbed his damp eyes, waiting,
his mind wandering thoughtless
inside a humming keyboard.

After a long inert silence
he took a 'cold one' out of the fridge -
flipped himself off....

Premium Member A Thought Wanders Lonely
A thought wanders lonely, detached, into my brain
  Meanders through portholes of pleasure and pain
Settles in a remote chamber of my dullard's mind
  Yawns, stretches out, dons a sleeping cap
  Drowsy, relaxed -- time for a very long nap...

When -- What this? -- a tiny spark ignites
  Leaping to touch its neighbor's' dendrite
Soon my cerebrum's lit up, on fire
  Thoughts fueling thoughts
     ~ Rocketing higher and higher...

Bring It On
Love in a vortex, tempest savaged;
Slammed to euphoria, broken, ravaged;
Breathing volcanic, incinerated;
Rocketing skyward, motivated;
Lodged in a crevice, trapped, imprisoned;
Bestowed on the blinded, sight envisioned;
Carved on a headstone, legend hammered;
Roared from the rooftop, cacophony clamoured;
Ripped on the railings, torn and tattered;
Buried with honour, illusions shattered;
Sweet resurrection, finger licking;
Bring it on down, alive and kicking......

On the Cross
reinfatuating of sordid memories
we lay there back to back
away from the realities
like penguins on ice

city is a flame
dancing like
a butterfly

we are all strangers here
we could be feathers
floating on thin
air
on the magical world
of love
do we really care
torn between
science and art
i am on the
cross
twisting rocketing spinning
like a reckless
top
euthanesia
i am tired
food is delicious

this poem is dedicated to ARTHUR for inspiring me to write again...
