Rewire
I tried to be a poet for hire
Meditated on what might inspire
Found myself stuck in the mire
My notes bound for the fire

He was a poet for higher
Consumed with noble desire

Recoil
A coil
Bound and twisted
Crimped and bent
Unwound
A wound

Pulling constantly to get it straight
Watching it coil back into place...

Premium Member Have I Not
If I fell behind
Let me be
Rewire my mind
Until I see

able to express themselves so freely;
If you feel stuck and are feeling badly
upgrade to an optimistic rewire;
Open the door....

Balance
A teacher broke his left-handedness,
until the right reluctantly awoke.
His right hand turned
to inner paths.

They tried to rewire him,
he was too right handed now,
but he kept slipping out of their minds

The boy continued taking
unofficial routes.
Teachers gave up on him.

He drew his own mind maps
explored them.

Eventually, by chance,
he found his place
at the center

his two hands joined
to the logic of creative
prayers...
