Seems my fame has travelled far and wide
My limericks have made a resurgent worldwide
May it continue a bit
Even without a permit
Hope to continue till it's beddy-byes time
All these young rebels get way too much press
for causes and movements they loudly profess
So, as an aging hipster, a resurgent Mad Hatter
I announce the formation of 'Gray Hair Matters'
When quenching
the silence
alone at the well
One ladle
awaits me
and loneliness quelled

refilling

&
idealogies
are
suspended
in
a
humbler

inheritance
strengthened
transplanted
transfigured
&
tempered
by
valid unbroken
tradition
Echo sung woven into the day's own rays
For soulful eyes within the forest.
Taking resurgent aromatic breath.
Sleep not! Yet lived each season earthbound
Proud limbs elevated, support magical beauty.
A still life, as if time stopped,
Creating a stark image of isolation
Erasing the smiles of slender shooting growth.
Between the clothed shadows retreating,
Wings full wide, exuberant race, unraveling self.
