is a pit of darkness
unvisitable in a sad dream
only small drips of love
drain open to feel some
restarting of life

exhalations spare from death 
mouth to mouth resuscitation 
my existence just a fabrication
   drumming on the optic nerve
   become part visceral part verve
   with electrical impulses sparking
   hand on heart as it's restarting

time elapses become encumbered 
stop when world begins to spin

Plot this pilgrimage as if it my own

I am the boy with the unquenchable thirst

Anxious to stop the things I won't remember
