Echoes
Echoing riddles
That never end
All I've seen
Never makes sense to me
Trees of endless shades
Fields of silver
Secrets whispered in newborn ears
Human fears
Regurgitated upon broken years
A life uncommon feels so near....

Nothing on my mind that
I want to share poetically ...
People get ready.
This message is from my gut, not my mind.
I have shared my mind so many times.
My gut needs to be emptied;

the sound of my own pen tapping
on an empty page
Deceitful brain!
How you've betrayed me
Your promise is dry ink
and screeds of nothing...

Stranger In Me
Looking like a woman...
thinking like a man...

somewhere inside...
where we all hide...

until courage comes a knockin'

Stand, run, or fight...

trauma was the thief of time...

regurgitated feelings...
familiar territory...

Soul been here before...

I gave it all away...

Memories stagnate my day...

Shield of strength repels me...

I chose to believe...rather than ignore...

Trauma is the strongest link...

To the stranger In Me......
