Wind's Nudge
Gust of playful wind
nudged me with flurry of leaves.
Childhood memories
             recollected in my mind
leaving me in state of bliss.

To Be Accepted
All the years I've been kept away.
I always thought the pain would stay.
Never imagined it would be like this.
Now I'm getting what I've missed.
It feels so good to be accepted.
To have my family recollected.
I'm very happy to be here today.
In this family I hope to stay....

Nom De Plume
It’s important
 what you get called
has a name,
one you can take

It’s important
what you’re called
is remembered the same,
today recollected
tomorrow

A mark on the stone
no longer

your history and
legacy

Midnight Reaper
Planted seedlings
During the observation grave,
Premonitions of the day
In the field of mind
Planted crops of thought,
Deep into the night
To transcend the hunger aesthetic
Recollected to harvest
In solitude.

In rhythm they dance
The dates with Arabian wind
To and fro the trunks
Steadfast the pitch
Rise and fall the beat
Consolation to exist
In the journey of the mercury
Temperatures of life....

Blades of Apathy
Memories scarcely recollected
as if the frail pictures hold traces of
shame—no, not shame—
a contemptuous emotion strung
upon such intruding truths,
basking and waiting
for words to record its frumpy
existence—gone . . .

There is a fear lurking where
honesty resides, as blades
of apathy slash away at the edges
of time—making way for
distant sadness. . .and a cool blur of
Heartless

Auntie Joyce
You crossed, at your time to cross,
Your death, not unexpected,
But my heart still feels the loss
Of the light that you projected.

You were the bottom storeys
On which my life has been erected,
The library that stored the stories
Of my childhood, recollected.

The memory of all that went before
In you, was resurrected.
Of whom I am, can I be sure
Without those stories you collected?...

A Confession
Those sanctified structures of verse,
plot and rhyme--why do I find them
no help to me now?
I want to produce something
imagined not recollected.
My inner voice becomes tongue-tied;
it trembles searching for the words
to guide me to inspiration.
So at times everything I write
with the threadbare lack of genius
seems wearily; worn-out ; hackneyed
often painfully paralyzed.
A mésalliance I admit
Still I strive to caress the light....

Life Book
Balance the sky on a twig from the tree
If the twig snaps or falls
The sky will tumble onto us

Bumping our heads and waking us up
From our life long sleep
That we think is a life of memories
Yet unlived but recollected

From the earliest times and days
We follow the oblong path
Each corner is the same
Just like we are the same

Why is it this way?
You wrote the book of life
So tell me now

After Leaving Summer
How early the summer has disappeared!
Maybe blizzards stole it?
Trees wave branches desperately,
hoping to recapture summer.
How sad the ancient lantern is!
Maybe, it has recollected mild evenings?
The drunk wind gave a hug to the birch
and filled two more glasses with vodka.
How soon the bright sky has faded !
It has grown dull and grey,
because kisses by the sun are missing.
But, despite the autumn cool,
the birch under my window
continues to smile at both the wind, and rain....
