God Granted and Am Enchanted
What all to me that God had granted,
Was encouraged as well as enchanted
Had a desire,
To inspire;
Song to Him sang that I had recanted.

So many are saying things unkind,
disparaging or hurting some other.
Saying whatever crosses their mind,
and often the truth they will smother.
Often each story is slightly slanted,
with a straight face, many belie.
Once it’s news it can’t be recanted,
and half a truth is still 100% lie.

Lyric
you gave a bajou
and the summer rain
toppled and confused
we left under our own accords
In the morning
we recanted,
sitting in misery
you said you never loved us
we tried to stroke our bruised egos
but the arcane wind was chaffing,
with the rest of your friends
we sweetly languished
unkissed by the dawn

The love we had
The same love we lost
What was given from God,
You soon tossed
Took me for granted
We said goodbye
I wish you'd recanted,
Given some sort of reply
I was yours,
Every part of me
Your pain matures,
Mine is set free
My heart is open
To everyone, but you
The love I gave
The same love I took back from you.

A California Costco
Labelled all its Bibles fake;
In other words, as fiction –
Then recanted their mistake.
A pastor who was shopping
Tweeted photos to his flock
And when they saw the “fiction” label,
Many were in shock.
The proper tag – religion?
Seems the answer to the question,
But if you have a thought, well,
Costco’d welcome the suggestion.

I recanted ever knowing Love's quotient,
Over me had Cupid never distilled Love's potion,
My staid lips never bantered Love's discourse,
While stoic mindset made terms of endearment no recourse.
My posture belied that of a court jester,
And sensory images could not my emotions' sequester.
Desire, passion's impulse, became a muted feeling;
And Hope, residing in Despair's harbor, offered little healing.

I do not know?
and the Bishop he recanted,
and the pumpkin watchers, chanted,
an orange hue like planted,
where the piles of bones,
were granted , a burial in the night,
and the Warlock in his death grip,
from skeleton fingers slipped,
then the spark of life unzipped,
and he sprang up shouting Elvis,
and he rocked on out of sight,
like a froggy frats delight,
demonic just not quite...

I pray for the day of the holy spirit
Delivers from evil and all those who sin it
Candles of hope push back the darkness
Light the shadows that move all around us
A symbol of God will not be needed
The idols of gold shall be defeated
The weary and old, they can be saved
When fire takes hold, if they are brave
Burn all the souls who took life for granted
Lost are the men who always recanted
Give life to the people who live no more
I love the way, the way of our Lord
