Intruders
Invasive interlopers
Encroaching on the edge
Of thought
Prowlers invading
The sanctity of the soul
Clumsy burglars
Violating the boundaries
Of whispered secrets
Purring cat burglars
Seeking comfort
it's easy to get enthralled
under the spell of incandescence
and hear the songs of sirens in the air
when moonlight glow endows each organism
with a magically intoxicating essence
that entices unsuspecting midnight prowlers

Under the celestial awing,
there are degrees of darkness
stygian and silky night-blue.
Secret light seeps out of hurts
soon absorbed by night´s hue.
By the quay, lovers watch the light
Commit suicide in dark waters.
Night prowlers with knives
killing someone with a passion
and bath in blood at midnight.
Unseeing Streetlamps
Under the celestial awing
degrees of darkness
Stygian night or silky blue
Secret light seeps out of
manifold hurts
soon absorbed by night's hue
By the quay, lovers watch the light
commit suicide
in dark waters
Only the sleepless see this
and prowlers with knives
killing with passion
Ghosts and Goblins
Witches and Wizards
Halloween Costumes
For two legged lizards
Pirates and Princesses
Mermaids and Sharks
Prepubescent Prowlers
On an evening lark
Tricks and Treats
Pumpkins and Sweets
Masquerading Munchkins
Fill up the streets
Fun and Games
Fine and Dandy
Night Delights
Bags full of candy
The pursuers
Under the celestial awing
there are degrees of darkness
stygian and silky night-blue.
Secret light seeps out of hurts
soon absorbed by night´s hue.
By the quay, lovers watch the light
Commit suicide in dark waters.
Night prowlers with knives
killing someone with a passion
and bath in blood at midnight.
The Stalkers
Under the celestial awning
There are degrees of darkness
Stygian and silky night - blue
Secret light seeps out of hurts
Soon absorbed by night`s hue
By the quay lovers watch light
Commit suicide in dark waters
Only the sleepless see this and
Night prowlers with knives
Killing someone with passion
And bath in blood at midnight
I spied him in the garden
His mask was black and white.
Sometimes the gray was with him
And that often was at night.
They prowled around the maple tree
Then slipped into the shed.
If I ventured out to look for them
They quickly will have fled.
I believe they are my neighbors
Of that I can't be sure.
I've often tried to meet them
Using tuna as a lure.
I stand behind the tilted blinds
Then peer between the slats.
I find it quite amusing
To watch a pair of cats.
