Possibles
'Tis said
for to create
One needs the shade
of an oasis,
of quiet solitude,
For to soften
direct sunlight's glare,
Teasing one
into the shadows,
that ambiguity

Surelocked Holmes
sherlock holmes thinking
was not sheer luck on his part
it was a program
written to deduce

enter the author's

Seeking Serenity
I loved you and you never knew
Of my torment, my temptation and fear
What was illusion? What was true?
Oh, the tangled storm of my feelings for you!

The possibles may tease us
So we watch and wait and hope
As we try to gain some purchase
Up our lifespan’s slip’ry slope.
The orchid by the window,
Water, air and sunshine-fed,
Still refuses to release its buds
To let the petals spread.
Some seeming opportunities,
Though close enough to snatch,
May exist to merely disappoint,
Like eggs that never hatch....
