Plumb Line

Our neighbour is plumbing Mum's drain
As some drips were causing her pain
But mum is no fool
And his "special" tool
Like Dad's, will just make yellow rain

Drop a plumb line from crown to root
This corresponds to the central vein
Staff of power, the rod of initiation
For pure childlike hearts free from stain

Divine magnetism prefers this route
It is the direct expressway to heaven
The path appears when we walk upon it
Bypassing the body chakras seven

O great is the mercy of God!
If we had only seen with our eyes…
If we’d only been wise…
O how he tries…
To turn our heads from our Iniquities!

O how severe is God’s wrath!
When the fruit is ripe, when the day is done…
When we’ve wholly turned our back from the son…
When He has drawn a plumb line over sin’s fun…
O how fearsome is the Day of the Lord!

Prayer For Wisdom

Lord teach me to count wisely,
And to number my days.
Help me to redeem the time,
And serve you gladly, always.

Life is short, and death is sure.
I must work while it is day.
For soon the night will come,
And my soul shall fly away.

Lord, my days here are set.
Let me measure carefully my time.
May I give honor to Your name,
And always walk by your plumb line.
