Lag the Flag

Over the flag rise it
And the people think
It can be catch

Why suffer the thinking
Of people who think they can
When the flag is down forever

Just forget about it
And walk to the sun.

Wonder Why

Father, why do people die?
Many reasons
Like what?
Ask the killer, and if he has no form, it was natural
Father, why do people kill?
Many reasons
Like what
My son, many things can be used to answer many questions
Like what?
Me.

The People

The people moan
                groan
The people mope
                 dope
The people try
                 cry

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The people believe the lies
ones that are clear
ones in a disguise
The people oft deny
give many tries
seek not the past
Don't ask
enough
whys?

Just a stone’s throw away, live the people who we’ll never know

We catch a glimpse into a life...

A house, a barn, hard working men

A vagrant walking through a field

A mother takes her child to school

Commuters on their way to work,

They look, ...a glance. We look, ...one chance

Just a stone’s throw away, live the people who we’ll never know

Mirrors

Mirror Mirror on the wall
Saying that sounded like junk
Everyday is the same
You get up and see your face
Everywhere you go
That's what people see also
The face that makes you,you
There's one secret people should know
Mirrors can't see your inside info
They might know your appearance
But you can know your feelings
Mirror on the wall
Thank goodness you can't see it all

Everybody Loves You

Everybody loves you
At least that’s what you think
See, there are some people who love you
The people who love you always got your back
There are other kinds of people, too
The ones who use you like you’re a paper plate,
They eat on you and when they done, they throw you away
You have to pick the right people to be in your life
‘Cause if you don’t, you’re gonna get hurt and that’s not alright

The Subway

Have you ever noticed all the people taking a ride?
How unique each one of us are?

All of us coming and going in life as we know
The couple coming back from a broadway show

The father trying to get home by nine
All the people standing in line

The mom trying to get the kids not to fight
The friends going to the city, to party at night

The differences in our skin
And
Our beliefs within

So much diversity there is to see
That is what the subway represents to me

Premium Member Hello

Hello
Do you hear me ?
Do you hear what I say ?
Do you understand my logic ?
Of how games people play
Do you ever wonder
Why people live and die ?
Have you ever helped the homeless ?
Or seen a child cry ?
Ever looked into sorrow
And seen emptiness
Have you looked into tomorrow
And cared less and less
I say this to you
And hope you will confess
To the feelings that I have
For people everywhere
And to say one simple thing..........
I care

I'M a Killer

After serving people drinks at my bar, they drive.
Some of my customers get drunk and thanks to me, there are people who are no longer
alive.
Those customers have killed innocent people while driving intoxicated.
Owning this bar is something that I sure as hell have never celebrated.
I've tried to live with this pain and guilt but I can't do it anymore.
After ten years of being in business, I'm going to close my doors.

(I THANK GOD THAT THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM. I DO NOT OWN A BAR.)
