An Ob-Gyn Named Payne
There is an ob-gyn named Doctor Payne
He guarantees he'll live up to his name
When his patients groan
He whacks their skullbone
Delivers the baby plus a migraine...

Love Sick Maniac
this is a poem that was written by my freind. anything you comment on it i will let him know. his name is sean.
sad, regretful, loving,and woeful
lover of her,
who cares deeply about her,
who believed that she loved me,
who wanted to be with her forever,
who fears that she would leave,
who said "i'll love you forever"
resident of my broken heart.

He's a Real Pain
A dental assistant named Bertie
Found patients could sometimes get shirty
One annoying old bloke
Would repeat the same joke
His appointment time was 'tooth hurty'
This old joke drove Bertie insane
Still he laughed at it once again
But the dental staff
Had the biggest laugh -
This gentleman’s surname was Payne!

Restless
Restless legs
Like breeze on pegs
You whip up such a storm
Restless arms
And sticky palms
Can't cool me when too warm
Restless mind
You're too unkind
Brain won't you conform?
Restless night
Put up a fight
Too used to this new 'norm'

The Old Me
The old me
How hard for me it is to plan
To go for drinks
Be who I am
It's who I was that you all know
The new me now, so pained and slow
I knew tonight
That old me has gone
The light so bright that once shone
Taken early so unfair
From days I looked forward to doing my hair
'But you look so normal, you look so well'
Well I'm afraid inside I feel like hell

-without You-
Until your gone, I’ll never know the pain of not having you around.
I know the day will come, but I don’t really want to admit it too often.
I think about your death and the effects of your passing.
I know deep inside I’ll live through it, but I haven’t figured out how.
I can’t imagine my life without you.
The only thing that would get me through; my family and friends.

Litter Bugs
'Litter bugs'
Why are we such a messy nation?
When blessed with such great sanitation
The litter bugs make my blood boil
When I see street cleaners toil
So of your taxes please don't moan
Would you litter like this in your home?
Please next time you spit out your gum
Think would you like it stuck to your bum?
Coz my other pet peeve
Is shoes up on seats
And here endeth my morning greet

Home Sweet Home - Buzzwords
“Home, Sweet Home” by John Howard Payne
Home Sweet Home -Buzzwords
(Poem Sweet Home)
I’ve been to a lot of lovely places
But the poem-stead is my home.
I’ve seen a lot of friendly faces
But there’s only one place I call home.
It’s where rhyme meets with free verse
And alliteration’s free to roam.
A place where most of us don’t curse
Yes, the poem-stead is my home.

Empty On the Sofa
Empty on the sofa
Lonely without my man
If anyone can make me feel better
Only Dr Payne can
He makes me laugh
Makes me smile
For him i'd even run a mile
It may not seem far in length
But i just need his almighty strength
To get me through each breaking day
So what I just meant to say
Was thank you for all you do for me
But I have one final tiny plea
Love me and be mine for the rest of my life
And I will always try my best at being your wife xx...

Dolly Sisters 1945
Betty Grable and June Havner
Brought the Dolly Sisters to Life on the big screen
It was 1945
They should have both had top billing
Somehow John Payne sneaked into the middle of them
in every single promotional advertisement
I think this is a reflection of how women are treated
as second class citizens
Dolly sisters, studio, not Dolly end caps!
I loved the movie, every bit of it
but do not like the way the producers
decided to write up the billing...

Won'T Let Pain Win
'Won't let pain win'
From restless mind
To restless leg
Hung out to dry
Like clothes on peg
Been many years
Since pulled all nighter
Not same kind
Now spoons* are tighter
Can't stay rested
Won't lie still
Mind can't fix
Nor doc 'scribe pill
As fight the night
Must not give in
With all my might
Won't let pain win

World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day
Don't treat anxiety as mean
Don't think OCD's just 'clean'
Depressed with legs of lead
Don't mean it's all just in your head
People die of suicide
When each day they want to hide
Damn stigma of mental health
Hits poor girl to gent of wealth
So if you worry for a friend
Or see a family feigning mend
Stop and talk just say
That you'll support them feel that way

I Am Who I Am
I don't know why I am always being questioned
My decisions and actions are never protected
No matter what I have said or what I do
People seem to tell untruths to you
I am just a human by no means perfect
But all you on-seers need not interject
You may roll your eyes and shake your head
That may be because you have never listened to what I have said
I am who I am, no one will ever change me
Ignore the rumors and just let me be me!

Now the Kids Are Gone
Now the kids are gone
Now the kids have gone it's all gone quiet
Not the time for me to start a drink diet
As the rooms lay empty
Walls poster bare
Annie you Left without doing my hair!
Eldest, your last year, the time has come;
That dissertation at last must get done!
Kids remember we're at the end of the phone
And for you all, we will always have a home
Well actually, maybe just a bed
After next move it may even have to be in the shed ;)

Hats Off To My Prof
My freshman reading list is
Thomas Payne, Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky
The prof is not one to pitschky-potschky
The leaders to be studied will be
Elijah Muhammed, Stalin, Castro, Marx, and Xi
I wonder why A.H. is an absentee
O, I get it -- Good things come in fives
USA, Russia, China, Cuba and Syria
Nazi Germany too busy taking lives
Looking forward to an action-packed semester
in this new course called ~
'Proud Traditions of our Ancestors'...

Seasons Changing
Sweet falling summer rain,
dripping off the window Payne
beauties joy it must contain
Nature’s point of view.
Solemn Autumns country breeze,
floating boasting through the trees
flutter flies of yielding bees
the sky a lake of blue.
Winters brisk temps to fall,
roses blooms hide one and all
blanket snow the sparrows call
shaded cast white the hue.
Spring bounces birdies’ song,
the world begins to sing along
a windy breeze to catch the dawn
of life to start a new....
