Selfish
The time has come
for me to be
just a little selfish

The time has come
for me to start
to put myself first

The time is now for me to say
No
Its not ok

To live my life
on my own terms
Each and every day...

Religion

Sufferance is on your own terms
The world is full of bumps and turns
Please forgive myself but the fire burns

I go around them using my own words
To purge myself from the evil that churns
I listen quietly as the torture looks and learns...

Revisiting Trauma
I’m glad to see you again.

By my own terms of course.

Don’t think that I’m allowing you to invade.

But instead, I am simply inviting you to leave my subconscious.

And be seen.

I have accepted your presence.

And I have accepted that what was done to me is not my own sin.

Thank you for visiting.

Now release!...

Crazy Ramblings
Talking is exhausting.

You see, I can see the future.

So I know exactly what they are going to say.

But they’re reading my thoughts and trying to counter my premonitions.

So we always have arguments that don't make sense.

When I’m talking to myself…

I can just repeat myself over and over.

And be in limbo.

On my own terms....

Alonely
older, but no wiser
quieter, but no calmer
far more passionate, but not a lover
taller, but no more confident

overgrown child
who gave you the ability to... drive?
eat, think, work on your own terms
i can't believe the joke you really are

looser, but still a loser
better, but still understated
callous, but still crying
failure, but still with hope

believe it or not...

Listen to poem:
the heart of a priestess
the courage of a lioness
she stands in defiance

with every ounce of strength
throws caution to the wind
with her grand dreams and schemes

she lives her life
on her own terms
fearless and audacious

Premium Member Fly Home Fairy Queen
All I want is time to write,
A little space,
Some oak trees and butterflies.

All I want is a cardinal to land
A few feet away
on God's terms

All I want is the spirit to work
And think and pray and play
on my own terms

That will be more than enough
Thank you very much
Now fly home, fairy queen

Your mission is clear.
Your directives are there.
I am grateful to you, my friend....

Faces of Failures
never wanting;
ever regreting,
don't forget,
I'm doing it all on own two feet.
doubts so hollow,
not redeeming atonement.
so unsure,
with the risks of conscequences.
pressures of failures;
teeming with unwanted unknown neglect,
brooding the cost,
impartial to the reactions,
not heeding the learned lessons.
too much to consider own my own terms:
foundation no too firm,
living untill the broken end,
contemplating for the unknown answers....
