Mother Fly
I, a sexy fly on my teenager’s wall
Eager to hear what she'd say when he'd call
For times were bad
And I was scared
That she'd try to run away to Nepal...

Over the border from

When the hotel
Proprietor after checking out
Asked; me 'Any tips?'
I misunderstood & said
'No need.'...

Violence
Let me survive
To fulfill my dream
Without presence of
Violence and torture

Let me live my life
Without presence of
Fear

I have done no mistake
Give me freedom to survive.........

Premium Member Limerick She Blew Topless On Sea Anne Anne
Limerick: She blew topless on Sea Anne-Anne

She blew topless on Sea Anne-Anne
When her anchor sank in hurry-can(e)
Then quaked Nepal earth
No way to hide girth
Since wears smile and lets down her man(e).

Over Ambition of Human
Natural disasters are unstoppable disasters
No way to ignore and go away from them
But additional tension man-made disasters
No limitation of aches grow in innocent heart
In fact, the symbol of over ambition of human.

God Save Nepal
My heart goes to them
To our brethren in Kathmandu
God save them
And their country
You are all in our praying time
In the history of Sulu archipelago
And Brunei they are the hero
They are good people and loyal too.

Premium Member What Language Does Europe Speak
And so what language does a European speak?
I asked this of dozens for knowledge I love to seek.
Some of them speak Spanish others speak French
Most common is English said my cousin Wrench.
English, Spanish, French, and several languages from Nepal,
Actually, Europeans speak two hundred languages in all....

World Brought From Afar
World Brought From Afar

Wherever I am, the world comes to me.
I speak not of cyberspace but from connections much older than we.
Through the air I breathe with dust perchance from Nepal;
Water from oceans, as snow or rain from clouds it will fall;
Food in particular, even arctic char;
All these bring me the world naturally from afar....

The hawk lay upon the lazy late afternoon air currents; Floating, circling, spiraling, ever downward. Its wings spread wide, white feather-tips splayed. It teetered on the updraft above the terraced alluvial plains in the lea of the Himalayas. Landing with a compression of desire upon the crumbling limestone outcropping, It stood preening. Waiting, For the next breeze.

Beyond the Clouds
Risking it all
in the earthbound sky

Her summit was calling,
the weather defies

An avalanche beckoned,
one Sherpa was lost

A trek through the death zone,
another one gone

The temperature dropping,
the oxygen sparse

My crampons now heavy
and feeling much worse

To retreat or push on,
the danger the same

All hail Sagarmatha
—still calling my name

(Memories Of Nepal: March, 2021)...

By Any Other Name
In Spain, it’s mariposa.
In Poland, you’ll hear motyl.
One says borboleta in balmy Brazil.

Pulali are a plenty around exotic Nepal.
“Come here pretty farfalla!” in Italy,
You would call.

Hawaiians sight pulelehuas
While strolling in the sand.
A child would chase a chocho if home is in Japan.

No matter how one says or spells it,
I always breathe a sigh,
Every time I behold a beautiful butterfly....

The Earth Cracked
The earth cracked in Nepal,
  with fire and shame

And thousands lay dead,
  in the mountains and plains

Her crust was ripped open,
  a heart now exposed

And lives were reclaimed,
  from a heaven deposed

The story for mystics,
  a legend say some

As nature demanded,
  for things that we’d done

Her climate infected,
  and sky ringed in black

Our future as payment,
—with no turning back

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2015)...

Premium Member Ideas, Ideals Flow From 'A Poet's Worth'
"Laughter the best medicine" it's said
A humorous poem was displayed

"Love is in the air" so 'tis said
A romantic poem captivated feelings

" Lies, lies, lies" is all that's said
The political poem expressed those wrongs

"The death toll reaches 5,000 in Nepal"
A poet views the scenes appalled

Laughter, romance, political unrest
News, views, stars, clearly expressed

A poet wears many hats
Ideas, ideals, keep flowing out

Premium Member Nepal's Grief
The crow's fierce warning message rings
Echoes across the dale
the Dove's peaceful cooing cascades
Silky sweet as a veil

Over here-a caws the crow
As the roosters join in
Songbirds unnamed awake from slumber
In soft chorus songs blend

What does this day hold for each
of God's animal kingdom
Will the Dove raise her family
To the phylum add some

Nepal mourns her dead family
Unexpected losses
Recovery a long slow event
The deaths, grief, life crosses ...
